To mark the ending of a successful family sailing holiday we were all desperate for some nice Italian when we arrived in Horten - and we found Alfredo Rossi in Torggata. The menu presented online was more tempting than the menu we were presented when we arrived. So we did not get the carpaccio the kids love, but we got nice garlic snails.... As it was a familiy dinner we ordered several pizzas and pastas. The Italian pizzas were ok but not very interesting. The pasta was also average. As we all love truffle it was dissapointing not to find any of the courses with truffle... The wine menu was very limited, but the one recommended was rather good. When we got the bill at the end we were surprised on the positive side!! Very inexpensive for an average meal. Don't have to high expectations and you will have a nice dinner.

The concept works well. Even in this little town. Service very good. Remember this is a Pizza restaurant, with additional other dishes. Don't expect fancy dining, this review is based on friends, family need something to eat, not to shabby, not to fancy. Non revolutionary here, but nice menu, good flavours, good service, great location. Looking for Dining? Try Fishland next door to this one. Nice and relaxed? Just a few beers and a pizza? Stay and enjoy Peppes.

Stopped for a quick business lunch. Prompt and good service with food served reasonably quickly.
I had the fish and chips. Chips were crinkle cut and fish batter was very thick. I was hoping for fresh fresh in a light batter....
My colleagues had ribs and fish soup, which they both enjoyed. Food envy strikes again...

Well, of all indian cuisine, this is the worst experience I've had so far. I really hope the chef had a bad day "at the office", 'cause this time we found or self lost between our experience and the reviews for this restaurant so far. We had lamb (35) and Palak Paneer (61), both ate in silence before we both agreed; our meals tasted like water with some salt added. I find it hard to believe that I have eaten from the same kitchen as the previous reviews. This was just simply disappointing.

I have visited Stallen several times. The food holds a high standard and the service is impeccable. The best time i've spent at Stallen is during conserts. The artists seem to be quite comfotable and the armosphere is spesial and enyoyable. So catch a consert at Stallen, when possible!

The cafe is wrongly listed here at Tripadvisor, the street address is okay, however the town is Åsgårdstrand and NOT Horten
It is a cosy little cafe, fireplace and candlelights in winter, outdoor Seating in summer
Famous for its delcious cakes (bakery next door, Fransens konditori) An other favourite is their shrimp sandviches, which has a generous heap of shrimps on, and the fish Soup
In winter open til 4 pm on weekdays, 6 pm in weekends, longer opening hours in summer

Havent been to a Pizzanini for ages. But someone recommended it.
Nice building. Even at winter.
Good service but the pizza cooncept was stuck in the past. Pizza has evolved. This restauramt has not. Methinks.
A little unattentative service.

I have been here a few times, relaxed atmosphere. Not a place for everyone, posh is at the other end of the scale. Friendly and efficient staff. Not in the nicest area in Horten in midwinter, good Terrace in the Summer.

Nice and cosy. Very wide drink menu, hot or cold coffee bar style. If your looking for Starbucks, forget it! This is way better and defiantly local concept one of its kind. They won several barista competitions, and run a unique concept to the fullest. Several options in milk, no milk, lactose free, soya, brands, beans, origin,types..... You name it, they fix / have for sure. Service minded and welcoming personnel. Small menu of food, and cake to go with what you drink. We recommend for a visit.
