Interesting little place, great service from all waitrons and the owner and her sister. Good food well presented. You know the kind of place where everyone is having a good time? That background buzz that creates its own music; plenty of laughter and good energy? Well, this is that kind of a place. Nice, small selection of local produce and gifts should you want to get something for a friend back home.
The kind of place where you walk out at the end of the coffee and cake or meal and say "That was very good. We must come here again". We did, during our short stay in Hogsback

Outstanding cuisine, offered in a warm and cosy environment. Capable and friendly staff. The owner even assisted us to reach the restaurant on a soaking wet rainy evening when it was impossible to reach them by road motorbikes...care and hospitality which is unheard of... Highly recommended!

We decided to have dinner and play it safe by ordering burgers (after all it's in the bundus). Surprise, surprise, the burgers were delicious and so were the onion rings and chips. They were real MONSTER burgers but after all the walking one builds up an appetite! It was really good and sitting outside you can watch Hogsback go by. The waitress was really good and all in all - a definite to be repeated if circumstances allows.

Running solo, so it is nice to be in a place that makes you feel welcome. Had a pub dinner, and sat chatting with the barman/owner on the local happenings.
Cozy pub, and a warm feel.
There is a normal restaurant as well as the option to sit outside.

Neil (owner) accompanied us through his beautiful garden explaining the different types of shrubs and trees and the process involved in developing and maintaining the garden. Visit by prior booking.
Definitely something to see.
Also offers accommodation, is itself a wedding venue and fine dining (prior arrangement).
