Situated opposite the lake and over the road from the bus station, we had lunch here, sitting inside near the open grill. The place was packed and there were a couple of chaps playing guitars when we arrived. We thought they had been employed by the restaurant but when my husband went to take a photo of them they stopped playing and demanded money - so beware...they were followed shortly by a couple singing who did 4 songs and left, it must be the norm around this town.
The tables and chairs are rustic so not that comfortable, but there was a reasonably good atmosphere and the waiting staff were fine.
We ordered the local Colombian dish which was fine, but not that exciting. The grill was really busy and we kept getting puthers of smoke coming our way so you may wish to think where you sit.
The other thing we noticed will answer the questions of previous posters about their cold meals.....they were bringing plates of chips out of another kitchen then leaving them by the grill whilst the meat/fish was cooked, hence they would have been stone cold when served up. You may wish to keep an eye on this if you are ordering a grill.

I visited this restaurant today randomly for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. The chef Sam was very friendly and we had a good chat. When he learned I wanted to try some Indian food, he asked me what I would like and I said vegetarian stuff, and he said he would make something for me. He made a vegetarian tofu dish that tasted great. The mango lassi drink is also among the best I've had. His food is very home made style and tastes very fresh.

Quaint little bistro-style cafe/restaurant with tables and chairs outside, overlooking the football pitch with a children's playground opposite. Mainly vegetarian food including lentilburgers, beanburgers, falafel-burgers, wraps, soups, salads, quiche, empanadas and also amazing desserts/treats such as cheesecake, brownies, muffins, tarts and cakes, plus orgasmic boozy chocolate truffles. Everything is home-made including mayonese, jams and sauces. Several vegan options available too. Wifi and mainly English book exchange available. English and Spanish spoken. Open Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 noon til 7pm.

The English Owner has a great touch with the Dishes and Sauces. Everything is fresh and natural. Hummous, Baba Ganoush, Falafel, nice desserts. Nice to get away from the typical Colombian Dishes for a change. Priced right. Quality in all regards. Service is exceptional. The atmosphere is cafe style outdoors which is perfect for Guatape. I always recommend having your main meal at lunch which is the Colombian way to do things.

I had a double espresso with a piece of vanilla cake and it was perfect. A very relaxing setting. The owners were very lovely and were very patient with my slow spanish. Will definitely be going back before I leave Guatapé.

We had a great lunch here. Staff are so friendly. I had risotto and got a huge helping. My meat eating partner really enjoyed his which is always a win for the veggie spots. Good prices and good coffee!!!

if you're looking for delicious Thai food then definitely stop by the Thai Terrace. An amazing menu made from fresh local ingredients. The crispy spring rolls were to die for, as were all the curries and main meals. They cater well for vegetarians. Highly recommend.

Ate there only once and it was to have a steak dinner. Good steak and trimmings ,with nice setting. Service was superb. Price was very reasonable . Would eat their again.

This magnificent Beach Club is located within the grounds of Luxe Resort on Lake Guatape. The views and grounds are simply amazing. I recently had the opportunity to rent a villa within this resort for the weekend. The Beach Club and Restaurant serves the resort homes, villas and hotel which is under construction but is currently experiencing a work stoppage. At the time of this writing, the Beach Club is only open on the weekends. Due to this fact, things just don't appear to be at full operational mode. The service however was very friendly, prompt and efficient. I went here on two occassions. Once for lunch and the other for dinner. We tried the oven backed pizza for lunch and a pesto pasta dish for dinner. Both were good. This is a great place to sip some drinks and spend the afternoon. At the recommendation of the staff we also rented a Pontoon Boat for a tour of the Lake and a trip into Guatape. All in all it was a great visit. I think this place will hit its full stride when the hotel opens and they have a more efficient transportation system to get the guests to and from the property. This is just the begining for this property and its worth a visit.

We were recommended this place by two different people and we were not disappointed. Good sized pizzas (most expensive was $28,000). We shared two between 3 people - the hawaiin and the Luigi and they were incredible! Lots of toppings and cheese!!! Really friendly staff and great vibe.

This phenomenal vegetarian place is only open at the weekend. What a pity because, in my humble opinion, it serves the best food in Guatape. My husband, who loves his meat and fish agreed with me wholeheartedly. Paula Andrea, the wonderful host, really understands flavour. Her food was unbelievably good. We had the menu del día for 15,000 pesos per person, outstandingly good value for the quantity and quality of food served. There was a choice of two soups: green bean or onion. Both were delicious. We then enjoyed a fabulously flavoursome creamy mushroom dish accompanied by the most delicious carrot and nut rice and a zingy, fresh salad that was fresher than fresh! It's insane how Paula Andrea managed to get rice to taste this good! The food is presented beautifully as well as tasting sublime. We also enjoyed a guava, honey and cinnamon juice as part of the menu de día.
I have no idea what Paula Andrea's background is but if someone told me she had worked in high end restaurants I would not be surprised in the least. The decor is lovely with upcycled tables and chairs and the crockery is colourful. It was impossible to fault Rame Cocina Artesanal apart from the fact that we couldn't enjoy it every day of our 5 day visit to Guatape! Outstanding!
