While we didn't climb the stairs (2 middle age ladies with bad knees) the view from the area is absolutely stunning. The rock is impressive and worth taking photos and all of those who were on the tour with us (and younger) climbed enthusiastically. Great little shops with T shirts and local souvenirs at the bottom. I highly recommend visiting if you are in Medillin and can get out to the countryside.

Nice church on the main plaza with a relaxing atmosphere and surrounded by nice restaurants and bars. The spotlights focused on church's front are changing colors after dark, cool to see. Guatapé is just beautiful in general, highly recommended.

Our family of four recently took a boat tour of the man made lake in Guatape. The experience was great fun and informative. We had a great boat captain that was a young resident when the original town was flooded. He knew so much of the town's history and even took us by one of Escobar's old homes and explained the history behind it.

The big inflatable water park is such a fun way to spend an hour! Jumping, climbing, trampolining, swimming Etc through a maze of obstacles.
I felt very safe and the equipment was of good quality.
If I lived closer this would be a regular hang out for me!
