We visited this restaurant at lunchtime with Swiss friends from Zurich and chose the menu du jour. The quality and quantity of the food (3 courses) was excellent and the service was very good as well. We were offered the choice of the dessert from another menu and this turned out to be something really special ! On top of all that the bill was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

The place is well located, clean and swiss by all means where locals meet. The menu contains several tasty and well cooked and presented countryside dishes at fair swiss prices. We tasted salads, boudin sausage, liver, langue de boeuf, steak and desserts at a proper quantity and quality. Service was impeccable, helpful and fast with a asmile. A place not to miss.

I went to this restaurant for lunch and was most pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The business lunch is great value for money. I strongly recommend this place. Make sure you book your table in advance.

Fantastic restaurant (near entrance to the chateau) to get fondue as well as quiche, salad, other items. We sat outside and enjoyed watching people walking towards the chateau. Great ambiance (read: old). We walked past two other places as they seemed too modern and we wanted old .

We enjoyed a very nice lunch outdoors at this restaurant. We had great service and an excellent fondue. We would definitely eat here again.

Had an early evening check in in the month of February. Welcomed and immediately offered the option for dinner which we took. Food was excellent and well priced. Room accommodation above the restaurant over looking the village Fountain was exceptionally clean and well appointed.

This family friendly restaurant had some of the best cheese fondue we have had on our trip, and some nice Swiss wine to go with it. Definitely worth stopping in to eat, but don't expect something fancy.

Das ist langsame, superbe, ästhethische französische Kochkunst in einem östlichen Seitental des Gruyère in unmittelbarer Nähe der Chartreuse La Valsainte. Das Restaurant ist in einer ehemaligen stattlichen Hofanlage in halber Hanglage mit bezauberndem Blick auf die Voralpen nach Süden gelegen. Die Blumen und Pflanzen des wilden englischen Gartens finden sich aufs anmutigste in den Beilagen oder als Zierde in den Gerichten wieder. Ein ausserordentliches kulinarisches und kulturladschaftliches Erlebnis, vor allem, wenn man es auf der von einer herrlichen Kastanie überschatteten Terrasse des Tals zum Tal hin geniessen kann.

I sat on the back Terrace with a beautiful view. I ordered the traditional fondue with local cheese. It was outstanding. I had a local beer as well. The waitress was efficient and pleasant. I did not feel rushed at all despite being a solo diner. I had some nice conversations with people at the surrounding tables.
