Ate here twice during our stay. Menu is slightly limited if you are not a big meat fan, but if you are, enjoy. We took the recommendations from the friendly and helpful owner and were not disappointed in any way. We went with his wine recommendations, too and enjoyed some superb wine that we would not otherwise have tried, all at a very reasonable price.
The little open Terrace at the back was lovely.

We had a beautiful lunch in this historic building in Galatina in mid Salento. Great antipasti Mare e terra..see photo,s Fresh langoustines, gambas,dorade in salt...well chosen wines. A treat, ...staff excellent...very professional sommelier, sublime cooking. Thank you Lucia Buccarellla for a lovely meal.

Paola and Cristian opened their cafe about 5 years ago and they are continuously perfecting the atmosphere. Against the backdrop of the oldest church in town, Santa Caterina, this cafe has become one of the favorite places for locals to meet and socialize. But it's not only coffee and pastries. Stop by for a summer aperitif (Aperol spritz highly recommended) and sit outside to enjoy the flocks of starlings making their early evening rounds.

"Rosticceria" is the best way to have a fast and cheap lunch/dinner when you are enjoying Salento, and Rosticceria Moscara is the best oens I have tried since ever.
It's compulsory to try a Rustico and a Calzone Fritto, but every thing is worth.
Approximate you can be satisfied with less than 10Eur.
La migliore rosticceria abbia mai trovato nel Salento. I rustici e i calzoni fritti sono una vera delizia. Vi sazierete con meno di dieci euro a testa.

We had an amazing evening, first watching the animals on the farm and then being spoiled by Alberto's cuisine which was rich, varied and based on the tastiest ingredients. This place is definitely worth a bigger detour once you're in Puglia. Thanks for this experience!

a fanstic location with a calm and relaxed athmosphere. The concept is very natural with a lot of creative surprises. The resources for the food are produced in its own rich agri bio culture. We enjoyed a lot, we really can recommend this place for a trip.

Nestled in an ancient palace dated back to the 18th century in the hearth of Galatina, in the province of Lecce, our restaurant Anima & Cuore is a really nice and confortable restaurant, with its starry vaults and mosaic floor which remind of the local history. We are near the famous Basilica of St. Cathrine, patrimony of Unesco, the St. Peter and Paul Cathedral and the little church of Saint Paul. Our restaurant offers special dishes that mix the traditional local recipes with the most modern Italian-Mediterranean ones. Our specialty is the fish: we buy fresh fish from the local markets in Gallipoli, Leuca and Santa Cesarea every day, such as purple king prawns, monkfish, snappers, tuna, lobsters,,, We also offer different raw fish dishes: prawns, langoustines, carpaccios, tartars, oysters, mussels… The pasta is homemade: delicious the macaroni with pesto Bronte pistachio and the purple shrimp from Gallipoli, spaghetti with sea urchin, etc... Delicious artisan desserts.

Set on the first floor of a noble house this restaurant has top class service ! We went on a Sunday and by 2 pm the place was pretty full. Lots of fish choices on the menu . Great house wine rosè. They do pasta, pizza, panini, burgers, steaks, cocktails, beers, salads, chips; you name it. Mostly, they do pleasing people on a budget and on a grand scale. This is certainly the busiest restaurant in Galatina, and one of the largest, and one of the cheapest. The house wine is 5.50 Euros a bottle; the average pizza is around 6 Euros, the burgers between 4 and 10, the latter for a wagyu beef number. The ambience is youthful and dynamic, the service presto vivace. This is where Galatina's youngsters, families and economy-minded visitors come to dine and, beyond that, to party and to enjoy themselves and each other. The food's not that great, but certainly o.k. the atmosphere is vibrant. It's a great catch-all concept and it offers super value for money. If it's not already a chain or a national franchise, it will be soon.
