WOW!!!
We were looking for a light dinner on a Sunday evening, so our choice was limited. We looked at the menu and thought " this will do", OMG so much more! Stuffed peppers with salmon mousse, foire gras, followed by duck and hake, and chocolate cake for desert.
One of the best meals I've had in a restaurant! AMAZING!!!!

On our 27 euro menu everything was copious and tasty. The patronne was super nice and efficient.... nice nautical decor.... Lots of ideas in the conception of the dishes... The first dish of cold shrimp and potatoes in a tiny cast iron casserole was tasty and quickly served.

Great 3 course set menu for €14 at lunchtime. Wonderful, professional service, Excellent tasting food which was well presented. Accompanied by a good wine list, wine by the glass from €3 to €6 and a large selection of wines by the bottle.
The interior of this place was nice with a comfortable feel, good size tables and chairs and large windows.
We had a lovely lunch and would definitely return.

Nous y sommes retournés déjeuner.la formule du midi à 15€ ( entrée , plat, dessert) est très bien , les plats sont bien présentés , goûteux, et originaux. La patronne accueille très bien , le service est agréable et efficace. Le décor est original , le vin au verre très correct. What else?

Repas en famille avec enfants. La vue est superbe certes mais surtout , ce qui est dans l’assiette est un pur régal. Et j’insiste, y compris pour les enfants qui ont un vrai menu avec de bons produits frais. Tout était très bon, les cuissons respectées et le service très professionnel et a l’ecoute. Nous reviendrons.

Not too much choice but enough and what is on the menu is absolutely excellently prepared, from prime quality produce and with great love for the art of cooking.
Little touches like being allowed plenty of time to discuss and select the wines from the cellar to complement the food, and excellent coffee and great aperitifs complete an excellent meal.
But it really then comes together when a cook and a hostess seeming effortlessly host a perfect evening.
Not cheap but very much worth it.

Le Salon de The' in Dax is one of those rare and off the beaten track, special places. If you are visiting the south west of France, you have got to taste the duck breast and the foie gras. Le Salon de The' serves a lunch specialty that is superb and very inexpensive. The specialty consists of 1 inch square, rare to medium cooked, chunks of duck breast, sandwiched between two crisp pancakes of sorts, served in a plate bowl, and surrounded by chunks of potatoes and onions, with the whole plate laden with a light gravy (jus). It's delicious, special, rare, a genuine find, and inexpensive at 9 Euros. What a find! Worth a visit!

Ne vous fiez à la façade! Allez-y et demandez une place dans la cour intérieure. Superbe adresse pour les tapas (la pala est très originale), la carte est large, le choix des vins est suffisant, le service est souriant, l'ambiance y est cool. Bref, une excellente adresse pour profiter de bons et copieux tapas.
Une addition à 80€ pour 3 mais nous en avons vraiment bien profité. A recommander

Julian the owner has really tried to bring his knowledge of time spent in Australia and the Uk into this bar. It's a fun atmosphere. They make great cocktails and do a show with juggling the bottles etc. The chef even showed us some magic tricks and he was very good. Later on they have an open mike so you can get up and sing with the musicians. They have a restaurant but we ate in the bar. Great thai fishcakes. If you're in Dax give this place a go.
