We where there, 3 week ago very good if you're looking for a great meal, we really love it, waiting to go back because the food the service excellent, a family member took us there and like I said, very very great food. Thank you to all for the good food and great service, well recommend, if you're looking to have a great dinner. La Parrilla de Lula is one of the best places around Calvillo :)

We were there last month, we like the food, service was a little slow but we have the time so we didn't care I'm saying this because there was and is people who are very inpatient, but food y excellent well recommend, if you like traditional Mexican food :) enjoy

The food at camino viejo is good! Definitely the best restaurant at the presa. I have been there only once and have tried the other restaurants at the presa and this tops it. The prices range from $80-140 pesos depending on the plate. Which is pretty good for the portions you get.

This is the first time in more than 2 years that I write a review, but this restaurant made me come back and really recommend it here. It has been surprising to find such great service, food (taste and plating) and ambience in a small town in countryside Mexico. If you are not sure about what to ask go with the recommendation of the staff. We tried the following dishes (taste rated in parenthesis)
- Chicharrones mixtos (7)
- Pistachio soup (10)
- Magic Calvillo Salad (9)
- Pork chops with guava (9)

- Chocolate and chili dessert (10)

I ate at Las Trancas four out of the six days I spent in Calvillo. The food is excellente! Generous portions and consistent presentation, I am very happy it was recommended to me. I understand people from the city of Aguascalientes travel down to enjoy the food. The owner was always present and he always made a point to greet me and to be sure everything was to my liking. Although no one spoke English here, the service was efficient and the drinks were tasty. If I had to make a suggestion it would be this: It appears the restaurant makes it a point to hire young, pretty servers who are good at smiling and being polite. While I would never complain about this approach, I would prefer a server a bit more warm and personable regardless of age and looks. Nonetheless, I give this restaurant a big fat ten out of ten. Bravo!

Nice place to have seafood, stay a few hours and enjoy the view together with family.
We had several dishes and all were very tasty and well prepared as well as good portion size.
Prices are reasonable and service was good and friendly. For the children they have two areas to play and have a little shop to buy sweets and small things.

These restaurant is out of the ordinary, if you really want to enjoy different food than your normal, well this is a wonderful choice get out of the box, we really love everything about the food presentation and taste, you wont regret to go there instead you will love it, and i"m not talking about the beautiful view omg you have to be there. and the owner he is so attentive with his costumers to make sure everything is fine and wherever he can change to please his costumers he is willing to do it. we recommend this restaurant a 1000% ;)

Es la segunda ocasión que comemos en este lugar, definitivamente es el mejor restaurante de comida típica de la región.
Caracterizado por sus platillos sazonados con la fruta típica de la región, la guayaba.
Lo que lo convierte en un imperdible si estas en Calvillo.
Ubicado casi a las afueras de este hermoso pueblo, su decoración te transporta al pasado.
Desde tu ingreso al lugar notas la amabilidad en todo el personal desde meseros que siempre están al pendiente hasta el dueño que siempre se toma la delicadeza de acercarse a tu mesa y ver personalmente si todo es de tu agrado.
Muchisimas Gracias a todo el personal por hacer de nuestra estancia un momento muy agradable y que decir de los deliciosos platillos.
