Zams Food and Fudge

Reviewed By Rolly M - Las Pinas, Philippines

Zam's Food and Fudge has been one of my favorites when I was living in Bislig City way back in 2002-2004. Their Choco Moist is the best-seller but they also offer other good tasting food. Yesterday, I ordered their Cheeseburger, Pork Siomai, Pancit Palabok and Cheese Cupcake. Every item we ordered tasted good. Palabok is really good and the ingredients were complete. I don't eat Siomai very often but I consumed 4 pcs along with the Palabok and Hamburger. The hamburger patty tasted really good. They are proud to inform us that they only use pure beef and no extenders. I just wish the cheese cupcake was a little softer but the taste was good too. Overall, I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because some items are a little pricey but definitely worth trying.
Choco Moist Cake is perfect!

The menu is almost the same as Zam's but the price is a little cheaper. The place is smaller too. I tried the halo-halo. It tasted ok but not at par with what I have tasted with other places. I have yet to try the other items on the menu.

You should go here and have dinner when you go to Bislig City!
Location: situated on top of a mountain, is Ocean View Park Restaurant. They also own the famous International Doll house, just right beside the resto. This is just 5-10mins motorcycle ride from the city proper, 7php/head. You need to take 200+ steps to get to the top! Way down is easier. For thosw who have difficulty walking or for senior citizen, you might not make it.
The restaurant offers you a scenic view of Bislig City. Best time to go is 5pm, during sunset, take pictures first then head to International Doll House then have dinner at the resto.
Food: we got to talk to Arnold, brother of the owner. The owners husband who's also the chef is a former masterchef of President Nixon. He is swiss born nationale who has retired to the Philippines and enjoys cooking. Really, delicious food that is affordable.
Their specialty is:
Chicken Breast in White Sauce (100+php)
Shrimp in Singapore style (160php)
Hawaiian Burger
Halo halo (50php)

Biaños in Bislig is a fresh addition to Mangagoy's list if restaurants. It offers several flavors of Pizza, Chicken and Spaghetti. They have ample room for dine-in customers and they also have Delivery and take out.
The prices of the food are cheap. The taste is really good even though they only use Cheddar cheese. But you have the option to upgrade to mozzarella cheese for an additional cost. The only downside is that they put too little toppings. I just wish they put more even if they add a little to the price.
Overall, it is a good place to eat when you are in Bislig.

Sea Tiger Cove

Reviewed By DonDan16 - Hamburg, Germany

This place exists since more than two years. It's a bit hard to find. Just take a tricycle to San Fernando, ask the driver to bring you to Sea Tiger Cove.
THe fish is priced by the kilo. Prices are ok for a restaurant, The usual drinks.
The tables are placed on wooden ways in a giant fish bassin. It's half sweet and half salt water.
Staff could be a bit more interested. But it's a long way from the kitchen to the table.
