The Crab & Lobster Inn

Came for a late lunch/early dinner today Wednesday, was very impressed.
A lovely welcome by the staff as soon as we arrived, a very warm welcome indeed.
A nice selection of Ales, although I was having a soft drink today which was fine as they had a nice range of bottled non-alcoholic beverages that could satisfy an array of palettes.
Me and my partner both ordered food, I had a cold seafood platter for one, which consisted of mussels, prawns, smoked salmon and fresh local crab, served with side salad and a nice couple of chunks of granary bread. All tasted nice and fresh and I couldn’t fault it in any way, fantastic.
My partner had moules mariniere and we shared some triple cooked chips. She was very happy with her mussels and the chips are nice and crisp, just how I like them.
We were originally just going to have savouries, but we spied the dessert menu which drawed us in with it’s tempting array of sweet delights.
Salted Caramel Panna Cotta and a Raspberry Syllabub was ordered without hesitation. What can I say, so glad we ordered desserts, these were some of the best desserts we have had in a long time. Very well made, presented and packed full of flavour.
Will have to come back again soon, overall a great experience, we left feeling very satisfied.

Popped in for an early evening meal with family. Lucky we did get in early as the place was full within a short space of time. I could see why it was full as the food was very tasty and plentiful. The service was also quick and very friendly. Recommended but I would advise to book or get in early.

We finally made it to the Propellor today for lunch after hearing recommendations about the food. And we did find the food very good indeed, very tasty fish cakes starter plus salmon and king prawns in a lemon sauce main, samphire and crushed potatoes, my other half had a posh burger, homemade coleslaw, salad and chips which he pronounced first class. Too full for pud but homemade selection looked good. The young owners are personable, efficient and friendly, and the pub was busy for a Thursday lunchtime in February. Interesting location with the comings and goings on the adjacent airfield. Recommended.

For the last 4 years we have eaten at the Lifeboat Cafe on my birthday. It just seems to get better every time. We love seafood so treat ourselves to the seafood platter which is the best we've eaten anywhere in the world! I do suggest you you make sure to book in advance as all the seafood is fresh from the day's catch. Sometimes the fishermen have had a bad day so nothing available. One day I was alone and there was no dressed crab so ordered baked potato and crabmeat which was brilliant...so much gorgeous filling!

My partner and I visited this restaurant as we were staying up the road in a hotel where the food wasn't very good at all, so we tried here as it was Local. We are very lucky ,whereby we are fortunate to have eaten in some very nice restaurants and hotels . Im often disappointed when eating out as I love my food but my lemon sole was so fresh , cooked to perfection and really well seasoned , in fact it was some of the best fish I've ever eaten. Not an overly fussy place ,just fresh ,very well cooked food , which I loved . I would definitely visit again if we were ever in the area.thank you for a very good meal .

We purchase an online voucher via the Price is Wight and it was £10 for a 2 course meal for one person . We’ve passed this pub many times but never been in and was really looking forward to visiting !!
It is a very unique and quirky pub and was also very clean !!!
I had phoned to book a table for 2 in advance , this was no problem, once we walked in the service we received from the 2 young members of staff working was excellent, the young lady ( Holly ?? ) was lovely and friendly.
My hubby had a pork Sunday lunch and I had the nut roast , the meals were clearly home made and delicious !! , we both had the chocolate brownie for desert which again was delicious
We will most definitely be returning when we revisit the IOW .
I was a little confused as there was an offer on there blackboard stating that a Sunday 2 course meal was £8.95 per person ( which was less than the voucher we bought )
Either way I’m not bothered as we both thoroughly enjoyed our food and all credit to the staff ( especially Holly ) , we will return soon

Yarbridge Inn

We our a cosy little Pub/Restaurant that serves good wholesome traditional pub grub. Local produce is key to our cooking and use it where ever possible. We cater for all kinds of dietary requirements so just ask one of our friendly members of staff who will advise on our options. Although it says in our description 'Vegan options' we do not offer as many choices as the heading would lead you to believe. It is something I have tried to change but in vain. We do our best to cater for all so if you are Vegan please say when booking and we can discuss with you our options or create something for you if given enough time. We do love your furry four legged friends but when booking it is important to mention it to us so we can seat you accordingly. Unfortunately we are very small so our toilets do not have baby change facilities and it would also be tricky to get a wheelchair in them. Apart from the toilets we are great for wheelchair access with tarmac car pack and no steps to negotiate on entering if sat in our top restaurant. Jane, Richard, Becky and the team look forward to serving you soon.

We dont do tea and cake, afternoon teas, burgers, chips, chicken nuggets and no fancy coffees. Dont arrive in a hurry. Enjoy the view, seafood, cocktails & wine. Cards accepted. Casual dress. Blankets/sunscreen provided. CAMPING LOO! Baby changing and baby food heating facilities. Kids welcome with a small kids menu and a few toys to play with. Food is cooked to order from a kisok, so expect a wait. Local IW crab and lobster (if the fishermen can get out and we haven't sold out). Most of our menu is Gluten free. We are not posh, our furniture doesn't match. But we are friendly and relaxed. Bring kids, dogs and a jumper! X
