Mala Garden Hotel’s restaurant in Siófok offers an exotic atmosphere matching the hotel’s design, where guests can marvel at the magnificent view overlooking Lake Balaton all year round. The international cuisine and the menu is accordingly a composition of Far Eastern, Malay and Thai dishes and flavours, but devoted followers of healthy diets will not be left disappointed either with the wide variety of salads and fish dishes that await them. For those after Hungarian flavours, we have revisited a number of our cuisine’s traditional recipes and are proud to present our interpretations in the menu. Mala Garden Restaurant’s Terrace has a magnificent view of Siófok’s Golden Shore; during the summer, you may dine or drink your favourite cocktail in a genuine beach atmosphere. We have a rich selection of Hungarian wines, and to let as many try them as possible, the wine specialties of the Balaton, Villány and Tokaj regions are available by the glass. Every Friday night in June, July and August, live music is played to add to the beach atmosphere.

Located in small boutique hotel next to the lake, wide selection of dishes - ranging from meat, pasta, to hungarian and asian. Had a "hungarian" dish of beef tenderloin, potato wedges - very tasty, with fresh garlic and leek. Staff ok, a bit more expensive than expected.

The restaurant is nice, location is close to centre and railway station, price is ok but portions...I ordered a tomato salad with cheese and looks like this is one of those restaurants where 'salad' calls for a side dish, very tiny portion. Pancake filled with cottage cheese looked liked it was microwaved, vanilla puding on top...Wasn't satisifed.

Opens 24/7 in the summer, a must stop place to get excellent Hungarian bakery items. Specialty is the chocolate swirls, probably the best I have had in HU so far! Free WiFi, good service and coffee!

A 20 minute walk from our apartment, but worth the walk. Yummy cookies, bakery products. Bathrooms super clean, WiFi, nice Terrace, wonderful oleander bushes and great staff. I am a bit disappointed because they do not have gluten free nor paleo stuff, but altogether they deserve the 5 star rating.

Das DE-JO Restaurant Grill&Steak House ist eher ein "Freiluft Imbiss" statt eines richtigen ernst zu nehmenden Restaurant. Die Speisen werden an einer Art Imbiss zubereitet und dann 50m von teilweise überforderten Servicekräften (alles Schüler und keine gelernte Kräfte), die teilweise umher irrten und den Gästen auch mal eine andere statt die bestellte Speise brachten, zu den Gästen befördert. Die Gäste sitzen dabei an einer Art "Biertisch" mit sehr harten Bänken. Da es sich eher um einen Imbiss handelt, sind demzufolge sind die Pizzen nicht frisch. Es werden fertige Teigrohlinge verwendet, die dann nur noch vor Ort belegt werden. Dies machte sich dann an einem pappigen Geschmack der Pizza bemerkbar.
Haben auch gesehen, dass teilweise die Mikrowelle zur Zubereitung von Gerichten benutz wurde. Ich habe mir eine Pizza Diabolo bestellt, leider wurden keine Peperoni für die Pizza verwendet, sondern ekelhafter grüner Paprika.(Davon war auf der Karte keine Rede)
Lediglich der Preis war sehr günstig.
Das DE-JO Restaurant Grill&Steak House kann man absolut nicht empfehlen. Wenn man das Freibad von Balatonkenese besucht, sollte mann lieber dort einen Snack einnehmen.

Nice pizza restaurant with a good selection of pizza, pasta and other foods. They have English menus and some of the staff spoke English.
They did however always seem to send the manager to collect the bills at the end of the meal, which led us to think that staff may not be receiving tips. This is not common practice in Hungary.

An elegant restaurant just next to main pier of Balatonalmadi. If you would like to try the hungarian cuisine or would like to eat something delicious, it is the best place to choose. Our restaurant is offering coffee and sweets too if you would like to drink something and just have a little rest in peace, come and visit us! It is open between Thursday and Sunday in the winter, from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.!

We like this restaurant because it offers top quality food and service. Our experience is that either of these are rare at the Balaton Lake.
The infrastructure of the restaurant is also what you would expect from a really good place: the table cloth, the plates, the glasses, the silver ware everything is excellent quality.
Why we like it, is also because the restaurant, although a fine dining experience, has a nice relaxed atmosphere matching the holiday feeling at the Balaton Lake.
Finally, the great addition is the small staff (2-3 people only), who are really friendly and who give a personal touch to the evening.

We were sitting on the covered Terrace. Cosy atmosphere, the staff is very competent, proficient in languages, quick and friendly.
The food was immaculate: fish with noodles and stripes of roast veal with cream-sauce served with spätzle.
Probably among the best restaurants in Siofok, and not too expensive.

The setting of the restaurant is perfect, the waiters are kind, the environment, including the mini-realm playground for kids is ideal. The food selection is mostly based of Italian type meals, very delicious. For the rest of my stay here I have a fixed choice of place to go for lunch! Highly recommended!
