Aggtelek National Park

I visited the Rakoczi cave in Bodvarako. I suggest you book appointment in advance as the number of people in a group is limited. We were lucky as we had no appointment and the tour guide also did the tour for only 2 people. But he mentioned that sometimes many people try to enter at the same time. You can take pictures without buying an extra photo ticket. There is a lake inside the cave, and the stones are very special, also what is interesting that this cave was a mine before so you can also see some parts of the mine. Be prepared that there are many steep stairs and ladders and if you are afraid of heights maybe better skip this. Wear boots or trainers and a jacket, it is cold 10 °C. To me this cave is the most special in the Aggelek National Park.

Valley of the Beautiful Women

Just popped in to buy a bottle I knew from the night before. The guy in the bar was so friendly and showed a couple of wines just for fun, without even having to pay. Told us a lot about the vinery and gave us a great experience.

Szeleta-Barlang

Szeleta Cave is located in a North-East direction from Lillafured, 96 metres above the road, on the slope of the hill. Through the entrance you reach a hall (length: 20 m; width: 15 m; height: 8 m), then a 40 metres long alley and a narrow, 30 metres long alley where the smaller chambers starts. Otto Herman initiated the excavations in 1906.
