We ordered two cocktails. The first one came after quite a long time... The wait we told me mine would come in 3 minutes. After 10 he came back to say there is no more long Island ice tea... I ordered a caipirinha... After long time he brought a... Mojito... I returned it, and he came back to say... There is no more caipirinha!! In the end my friend had finished his cocktail and I had none!!!

Il Padrino

I visited Gran Gala Il Padrino yesterday evening and I had a good meal. Prosciutto was absolutely fabulous, the porcini soup was tasteful and the pastas perfectly cooked.
Everything was good excepting the attitude of the waiter. She was always in a hurry even if only 3 tables were occupied and very stiff.
I think this kind of attitude can spoil a decent atmosphere and a great meal.

Buonissimo

I visited Buonissimo in May 2015 with my girlfriend for lunch. I had the carbonara which was rich and creamy- absolutely delicious and very generous portions! The star of the show however was without doubt the ice cream that followed. 70% Madagascan chocolate and the lemon gelato together was an absolute win for me! I honestly could have eaten buckets of the stuff! All of the staff are very welcoming and friendly. We visited a few times and was always greeted with a smile and shown to our table. If you come to Baia Mare then you'd be a fool to miss this out on this restaurant. 5 stars from me!

As a tea lover, Pressco has a fine collection of tea. I was delighted to get a menu with all types of tea and their unique flavours. Despite that, I tried the classical green tea with mint and its taste was truly authentic and simply refreshing and yummy. Next time, I will definitely try match green tea (tea lovers know what I'm talking about).
The interior is industrial and eco-friendly. I would definitely suggest more plants inside such as succulents or something similar.
Also, I liked the hospitality. We received a bottle of water with lemon as soon as we sat down. Thumbs up for that!
Additionally, I would recommend changing the mugs used for the tea. The holder was very unpractical and too small.
Overall, Pressco is a place you cannot miss if you visit or live in Baia Mare. It gathers people of all ages, but same interest: coffee/tea.

very rustic place. I liked the decoration. It's a place where you can have traditional food and they have a large variety of wines. the prices are okay... It's nice that they play live music. Overall it's a great restaurant for having a lunch/dinner or maybe just a cup of something.

Baia Mare was an unplanned one night stop. We were staying close by at the Euro Hotel and took a walk on the main drag. When we passed BIZO Brasserie there was an immediate connection.
it was around 5 PM and we went in for "dinner", We shared 2 different sandwiches, a salad, a coke zero and 1 creme eclair. The total came to 28 leu/around $7.00. Who could ask for anything more?
watching the locals come in/out with their purchases suited us to a T.
Everything IS fresh and delicious....and the gals at the counter provided quick assistance.
Would have gone in the following morning to purchase pastries for our ride to Cluj...but it was raining too hard!.
Truly a GEM of a cafe!!!!!!!!!!!

The only different thing that I could notice was the waiters good and decent jokes. We had a cheesecake that tasted average and a tiramisu cake that can not say anything more regarding this restaurant. Is was a regular sunday evening and so is the oak from Baia Mare, Maramures. Nothing to impress.

Gorgeous location and tasty food, but a total lack of organization.
We discussed one thing for our wedding and then some else or nothing was respected. It's disheartening when you arrive at your wedding and you start looking for things that are out of place or missing. And then you find out they were changed only on that morning. Literally, we had our agreement done the evening before and in the morning it was another show altogether.
It's a beautiful location for going to the pool or having a nice dinner, but for events I would not recommend this place. Unless you will plan, organize and set up everything yourself.
And by the way, why is there always something wrong with the baths? In this location, the water had almost no pressure and, the irony, it wasn't draining fast either.
