Went with 2 friends. Service is odd - we had to order at the bar and then sit down.. not much to choose from on the menu - all ordered steak. Food was o.k - and service, though odd, was friendly. But somehow it was kind of cute

Stjernsunds Slottscafé is right next to Stjernsunds Slott, which is a beautiful castle right outside of Askersund. The castle and its surroundings, with a large garden and a small farm, is idyllically located between the lakes Alsen and Vättern. There are some shops selling eggs and souvenirs and it is possible to have guided tours of the castle. This should make for a great place to eat, but we left feeling somewhat underwhelmed.
We had the summer buffet which is really pricey, SEK195 (appr. 30 USD or 22.5 EUR). For this price, you really need to take a good look at the amazing view of the lake and take in the beautiful surroundings while you eat. The buffet was tasty with some smoked salmon, chicken and roast beef with several potato dishes and pies, but it is not the most high end-food (and unfortunately there is no dessert included). And it's certainly not worth SEK195! So my suggestion is this: visit Stjernsund, walk around in the park, buy some local eggs and visit the castle but instead of the expensive buffet, have some coffee and cake and save your money. Perhaps you can use them to visit the inside of the castle, which is beautiful.
The exaggerated price level is the reason I can only give 3/5.

This is our third visit to this excellent cafe. Delicious and sometimes innovative cakes. Really nice staff makes you feel welcome. The interior is genuinely old, with antique furniture and artifacts from a very old bakery.
We have not found any decent cafe in this area so we were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Will be back.
If they have macaroons when you visit - they are delicious!

Close to the entrance bridge to the old quaint charming city and opposite the big city church you will find this café in an ordinary tidy house. But inside you will find a small first class chocolate maker with exciting taste combinations and exquisite varietes of dark chocolate. We always stop here for a joyful moment when we pass the area by car and every time we can not resist but bring some boxes of sweet lovelies back home with us. Heaven with coffee or brandy/rum. We wish the café the best of futures and hope that customers will come and appreciate this gem in Askersund!

I was pleasantly surprised of the standardized O'Learys concept being done so well as in Askersund. Nice and friendly staff (the young woman heading the restaurant was our waitress), the carefully restored factory building adding much charm to the standard sports paraphernalia on the walls, and good food within tje sports bar standard. The bowling lanes were well kept, and a welcome way to add an experience to dinner.

Was stopping at cabin near Askersund and ate here for lunch a couple of times. Friendly staff with good English. Food was served very quickly. Good portions and very tasty. Nice to sit on the Terrace watching the boats and birds. A great place to eat.

Ute i Hansaområdet i Kalmar ligger Modehuset, och här finns "En trappa upp". Restaurang och kafé, med dagens, smårätter, smörgåsar och bakverk.
Fikade här en em med några vänner. Gott och trevligt. Det finns ganska mycket att välja på, gillar att det är stort utbud vad gäller kaffedrycker.
Allergier:
Finns hyfsat utbud för den som äter specialkost, även veggo. Säg till i kassan och de löser det! Vänligt och tillmötesgående.

A very nice and friendly cafeteria. They make delicious waffles and you get a nice feeling from the very friendly staff. Even if it's a beautiful day, and you enjoy the outside Seating section, I recommend having a quick look inside, to see the charming inside area built in a very old cellar. They might not have the biggest selection of cakes, but the waffles are fantastic, and the friendliness of the people working there makes it all worthwhile.

Ronne Café & Bistro located in Ronne Chapel anno 1875. Café with light lunches and great coffee sweetsat daytime. In the evenings the bistro is open with everything from "smörrebröd" to moules frites. The right to serve alcohol.

Firade svärmor där. Väldigt gott och personlig och härlig service. Blev lite strul med beställningen och vi fick kompensation så vi nästan skämdes. Men det är sånt som gör att vi absolut vill återkomma. Åt musslor som var jättegoda samt chevre chaud som också blev omtyckt. Prisvärt besök.
