Les Dauphins Heureux Cafe Restaurant is located on Anse Royale beach, in the village of Anse Royale, South East Mahe. Our restaurant specializes in authentic Creole cuisine, seafood, fresh fish, cocktails and great desserts. Seating is possible inside the restaurant, on the open air deck, or you may book a table on the sand under the trees overlooking the ocean and beach. The bay of Anse Royale is an excellent swimming beach with good snorkelling right in front of the restaurant. Every Sunday lunchtime we offer a Sunday lunch Creole Buffet from 1pm to 3.30pm, with specialties like grilled red snapper, octopus curry, an assortment of salads & chutneys like mango, patole, margos, fruit citere. Our hot dishes include 'katkat banane', salted fish with brede mouroung, barbequed pork belly etc.. Desserts are : bananes caramel, coconut nougat, daube de patates or bananes in coconut milk. Every Friday evenings we have our 'fish and shrimp' (& our 'A la Carte' menu) night with live vocals & guitar music from two talented local artists. We are open for breakfast from 8:30am.
We had planned to catch the Sunday buffet with music but we arrived too late, so we returned on Monday. The place was empty considering it was dinner time. I ordered veggie curry and my Husband ordered lamb. The veggie curry was average at best, not very much flavor at all. My Husband enjoyed his lamb with couscous.

The Plantation House has been lovingly restored based on its original plans, and actually rests on its original foundations. The 200-year-old trees which line the Bilenbi Avenue are untouched and are on the site's original site plans. The property is also home to a beautiful garden from which our chefs proudly source their fresh herbs and spices. Takamaka Bay, our fabulously Seychellois rum, came to life in 2001 and was inspired by the D'Offay family recipe. It is used both in La Plaine St. Andre's bar and kitchen. By day, the grounds of La Plaine provide a tranquil setting for a day away from the beach - our petanque court pays tribute to our French heritage, our garden surrounding the historic ruins is a treasure trove for the nature-lover in you and our distillery is open to be explored from Mondays to Fridays. When the sun sets, the ambience of our restaurant changes dramatically; enjoy an intimate meal in our private dining room or on our softly lit Terrace or an Al Fresco dinner under the stars.
Great place, great food and most importantly great attitude from people there. This is the must visit place when you are in Seychelles! When you are there take tuna tartar and bouillabaisse soup. Please put special attention to unbelievable cocktails based on Takamaka rum.

If enjoying delicious grilled food while on the white sandy Beaches of the Indian Ocean rim sounds like heaven to you, then look no further than Windsong Beach Restaurant. Designed in complete harmony with the natural surroundings, this beach side haven has everything you need for deep relaxation: the sounds of the sea, a delicious selection of drinks and dishes, and an unbeatably laid-back atmosphere.
We had a few meals here as we were staying at the hotel. The food and service was very good. There were plenty of fresh fish, local curry and salads. I would really recommend the sashimi which is available from all restaurants at the hotel. There is also an extensive vegetarian menu. The grilled fish, prawns and other shellfish are fresh and very good and served with your choice of salads, vegetables, rice or chips.

Its the best Indian restaurant we found in Mahe. This is in Eden island, very close to Victoria, the main town in Mahe island (Seychelles). They do home Delivery only in Eden island. Great vegetarian fare, reasonable pricing since Indian vegetarian in Seychelles is quite rare. Nice indoor and outdoor Seating. All in all a great experience.

We waited for low Tide so we could walk within 5 minutes from the Ephelia to this place.
Walking on the street I would not recommend, especially on this particular road and the local driving style in mind.
It is a lovely little tropical beach restaurant with excellent drinks and wonderful seafood. Considering one is on vacation, used to the local life style, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Very relaxed atmosphere, at sunset it turns into a Magic place.
When you feel you have to check your watch constantly, then you should reconsider
your motivation for staying there. The view is great, cocktails cool, time means nothing,
in short - life is very good there.

L'indochine - fine dining signature cuisine with asian - indian ocean rim influence & european flair
Good restaurant and food! Not fit for children, a little expensive but service is impeccable. what I liked about it is that they customize food a little for vegetarians

We booked La Grande Maison to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. As holiday makers we found Trip Advisor useful in choosing the restaurant.
We were met by Cristelle, the owner and inspiration behind the food. The cocktails were delicious - the mojitos in particular, mixed by the charming Naomi using the rum from the distillery in the grounds (Takamaka Rum).
The menu inspires and confuses in equal measure. Cristelle was on hand to explain and suggest choices. She has an enviable food pedigree and it gives confidence to make your choices. The food is haute cuisine, which uses the best of the Islands ingredients and inspiration with techniques and influences from elsewhere.
The linguine from the flaming parmesan wheel was as delicious as it was novel to me. The pork belly smoked with the sugar cane, and the deconstructed bouillabaisse were greatly enjoyed, as was the red snapper. Service on the open Terrace was friendly and relaxed.
The evening was a great success and flew by. The food is not cheap but it was great value. We were challenged, delighted, entertained and extremely well fed. I have no hesitation in recommending La Grande Maison to anyone who appreciates really good food.

Food and look and style was good. We paid and we went to a supermarket 50 meter away after a staff recommendation for grocery shopping.
After returning back to towards the car parking of the restaurant I wanted to get an ice cream and was looking for my money in my bag.
After searching for 3 minutes in front of the restaurant for money the same waiter who served us came out and mentioned that he charged us 450 rupee to much. 2500 instead of 2050.
Normally no big deal, but I would expect a customer service which would follow us in the supermarket to give the money back which they charged us too much. Remember that we followed the supermarket based on a recommendation from the waiter. Plus, I would not ask for the money of the ice cream which I had to pay as well. I would never ask for the money after this mistake.
Some food for thoughts for the next time.
