Elma and Cemal are an exquisite couple with great energy who operate this family restaurant with passion and love. You can have amazing homemade food and order any of the daily made food in the menu without hesitation. We were thinking of having a quick bite but ended up staying there for 4 hours with the company of the lovely family. Will stop by any time we will be in the neighborhood. Highly recommended.Our dear new friends Zeynep and Kostas; The pleasure was all ours that we had you here in our humble place. We are always pleased to share that love of good food and hospitality with people who can value it. Believe us if not more we enjoyed your company as you did. While touring in and around Edremit,we have stopped by this famous restaurant and left ourselves with the good hands of the kitchen.Very quiet and nice ambiance and athmosphere with the birds singing in the back ground.Food prepared and served was extraordinary,and we loved what came to our table from the kitchen.Did not order something special and just asked for their specialities available for today from the kitchen.MmmmYou will like this gourmet restaurant.Pls go for it and give a try.

I run a small hotel in Assos and often go out for shopping to Akcay, Zeytin is my favorite stop. The tempting thing is that all dishes are out on a hot buffet in earthenware pots, you can see them all out there instead of ordering from a menu which is much more appetizing of course. You can either choose two or so out of many many or can also get a mixed plate which in Turkish we call 'Asci Tabagi'. Everything is cooked in olive oil, extracted from the local olives. The owners are ex-olive oil producers themselves so they have the top quality olive oil. Even at times I just pass by to say Hi and I've no hunger I find myself at least having a cup of chicken soup.They've been on national tv channels on some food documentaries; meaning they became popular but I thank them for staying the way they always were. They didn't become fancy nancy but kept their own character&taste which is very valuable from my point of view. I know some places who loose their originality with fusion or other experimental food trials because it's trendy. This place is always the authentic, local spot with genuine Aeagean&Turkish tastes. I thank them and always send my guests, friends, family members there with confidence. I wish they stay so...
