Because they grill, depending upon where you sit, the smoke could bother you. They switched the seat for us, but this time the music was too loud for us to talk. The food ( steak, salad, drinks ) was good, but those two things ruined our first experience at this restaurant. And it will be our last after seeing the bill.

El lugar pequeño pero muy agradable. Excelente atención y los filetes conservan la calidad y el sabor de siempre (desde que estaban en Av. Juarez)Los nombres de las distintas presentaciones de los filetes cambiaron (ahora hacen alusión a amigos cercanos de Silvio, como el âBeto Torreblancaâ)Sin embargo siempre extrañare las cálidas charlas con Silvio. Sin él los filetes son los mismos, pero a mi no me saben igual......

There was no English language menu, however the staff made sure I was able to understand the choices and helped me along the way.They had their own house beer that was surprisingly good and I would recommend.Hi, Scott. Fourth time I have come... sometimes it is quiter other days it is more crowded. The food will never disappoint you... cant miss the Tuna with Cajeta (milk caramel).Drinks and wines menu have good quantity and quality of choices.Prices might be perceived a little high, but for me they are right balanced.If the weather is good, dont miss the chance to be seated in the small terrace

Mexican cuisine is within the top global offerings given its taste, variety and originality of its dishes and taste combinations. Within the Mexican cuisine there is a special chapter for âcomida poblanaâ or Pueblan cuisine, that very likely sits at the top. Having said this, Casa Barroca is probably nowadays one of the best, if not the best place in Puebla... Need to say more?Food is prepared with primer ingredients, carefully curated recipes, and served with high level of attention to details, like the little packages of butter made of corn natural wrapping, as if they were little tamales. We had the enchiladas and the Chile en Nogada and they were fantastic. Food portions are a bit bigger than what I expected, and flavor was heavenly in all instances. To top everything, the building itself, in a centuries old house, is outstanding. I recommend making a telephone reservation, although you may easily find a place if it is not a weekend. Do go. Enjoy!I canât wait to bring my wife to this place.
