Our second visit to this gem. A wonderful smart restaurant just outside Arpino. The host spoke perfect English no menu, we were offered dishes of the day. Lamb and pork with tempura style vegetables. The food was comparable to any high end London restaurant. Great views, superb chilled atmosphere and wonderful wine.

Absolute rip off. They don't provide you with a menu stating that the items vary depending on availability of produce. There's a board at the entrance which states 4 courses for 15 euros. The lady asked us if we would like fish or meat. We (2 adults) opted for a fish. Pasta (with bacon despite us requesting for chicken!) was recommended by the chef who came out to take the order as well. The food was just about average. The whole place was riddled with mosquitoes. We were then presented a bill for 40 euros for 1 pasta dish and two antipasti. I queried the bill as it didn't make sense. The lady sheepishly told me that fish costs extra. When I asked her why weren't told when she gave us the option (of fish or meat) in the first place, she gave me an wry smile and apologised but didn't offer to amend the bill. I also pointed out that we had only two out of the 4 courses but madam pretended not to understand!! I suppose they gathered that we weren't local and decided to charge what they liked. Stay away from this restaurant!

Found this place through the German smartphone app "Pro-Mobile" whilst looking for a convenient overnight stop in our motorhome.There's a nice area that will take up to maybe 8 or 9 motorhomes (as long as the horses aren't let loose!) alongside a small lake.The restaurant is run by a very friendly couple. When we visited (Jul 2014), we were the only people there and there wasn't really a menu to choose from. However, broken discussions with the owner (he spoke a little English & I speak very, very little Italian!) resulted in a very good meal for myself & my wife (who is vegetarian). We paid â¬45 for the two of us, including a small carafe of wine & a couple of beers.
