We were in Germany again this year 2015, so we just had visit the Akropolis in Bad Fallingbostel, for another superb evening. When we arrived we told that they have also opened another "Akropolis" in the nearby town of Walsrode, unfortunately we did not have time left during our visit to try the new restaurant out, BUT, next time

Four of us went to the Restaurante Athos for a Birthday meal. The staff were friendly and very helpful and attentive, the service was very prompt. The menu is quite extensive and we had trouble deciding what to order. A small salad is served to each diner, free of charge in addition to any starters. The menu is only in German, but is quite easy to fathom out, even with my very limited grasp of the language.I ordered steak, it arrived cooked to perfection, a very generous portion served with chips, onions and mushrooms. The four of us were very satisfied with our choices.Even though the restaurant is a little off the beaten track it does fill up very quickly, we arrived quite early, but by the time our starters arrived there were very few tables free, and it was mid-week. I would advise booking a table.I would highly recommend this restaurant should you be looking to eat in Walsrode.

We ALWAYS visit this restaurant when we are in Germany, we are very good friends with the proprietor and the staff, we also visit his other restaurant in Bad Fallingbostel.We are ALWAYS treated as returning friends with a very warm welcome. The food, service and the atmosphere is second to none, we will return in 2019, for sure !!
