We were driving through Alliston and it was getting late. I am diabetic and was starting to feel it was time to eat. We stopped impulsively at Theraâs Greek Restaurant.The food was delicios and the service was great. We had a wonderful time. It was our first visit but we shall return. ,

My wife and I were on a brief getaway at the nearby Bona Vista B & B and Spa for our (2011) Anniversary and were looking for a restaurant for our evening meal. We did an internet search and settled on Mike's Family Restaurant on Wellington Street in Allis

As so many in Alliston must love the place due to its high Trip Advisor rating, we decided to try it.I must say it is the most unusual restaurant I've ever been in! Firstly, the cooking truly is homemade. Very tasty and you get exactly what you ask for. The decor was family photos and hockey and a jumble of stuffed animals and odd decorations! The cook and owner Mike came out to each table to make sure everything was good and that is usually reserved for a fine dining experience. However, bless him, he is authentic and lovely and so was checking on everyone.A sweet family atmosphere of homeyness that is rare.Charming. Thank you!

We have visited the Halibut House more than a few times now and have always been very pleased with the service. The restaurant is bright and clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We have tried both the halibut and the haddock. The batter is thin and crisp and the fries are very tasty. There is plenty of food. The Greek salad is wonderfully fresh and the dressing homemade. There is a $7 special for Haddock on Sunday's and Monday's and daily lunch size specials as well. Definitely worth checking out for the price. Would definitely recommend this as your go-to place.
