Zierikzee (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzi.rɪk.ˌseː]) is a small city in the southwest Netherlands, 30 km southwest of Rotterdam. It is situated in the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, Zeeland. The city hall of Schouwen-Duiveland is located in Zierikzee, its largest city. Zierikzee is connected to Oosterschelde through a canal.

We booked for an early evening sitting and thoroughly enjoyed our three courses from the set menu. Great home cooked food, full of flavour and a lovely menu selection. Fresh and piping hot and we also enjoyed chatting to the chef/owner. It is a cosy and relaxed setting. We had tomato soup & herring spring roll to start. Then prawns, spinach and new potato gratin (scrumptious sauce) and a traditional Dutch pork Indonesian dish, both very tasty. Polished off with chocolate cake and ice-cream. All for â¬20 each. Would defiantly go back if we visit Zierikzee again.

Went here for a lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Place is not hard to find but a little out of the city centre. It has outdoor seating but that is very small and not really convenient. Also the ambiance inside looks very welcoming and the place is nicely decorated. We enjoyed a 2 course lunch, starter we both had sea-bass (cold) with garlic cream and basil sauce. It had a bit of a sweet taste it was very good. The main course was meat and fish. The combination of tastes was excellent. The cook really put's love in making his dishes you can taste that. Too bad they forgot the bread (others got it we did not). After asking "can we get some bread"? we got bread but no excuses of some sort. Not that i asked it that way but an excuse would have been in place. The bread came with very good butter and was absolutely delicious.Soft on the inside and a crusty crust. Very fresh. Nevertheless we had a great lunch and i would for sure recommend the place. We had a good experience and the rosé wine was also very tasty. Restrooms were in the corridor on the side, seen the space available they did a good job there. Also this is where you enter the restaurant on cold days.

Excellent place! The owners were very kind to greet us and dedicated time to explain the menu. The menu is very sophisticated and delicious (tartar and the shrimp were awesome). The wine variety is amazing, so you can easily spend hours tasting wine and enjoying the menu. The ambiance is cosy and the location fantastic. If you are in Zeeland donât miss it!

De man die bakt is een super leuke winkel. Het brood wordt ter plekke gebakken, je staat eigenlijk middenin de bakkerij. Alles is super lekker! Probeer ook de suikerknopen eens.
