It is now the season for mussels and you can have great ones here! Apart from that, you will find all the traditional Belgium dishes which are prepared with notable care and attention. I like my steak tartar with a little touch of truffle.Don't miss the nice fries and lovely desserts here.

Just a normal Belgian friterie, a fast-food place. But the fries are really perfect, first cooked at 140 degrees Celsius to become soft on the inside, than finished at (unusually low) 150 degrees to become brown and crunchy on the outside. The owner pays full attention to remove the fries from the oil at just the right moment, checking repeatedly that they are not too soft, not too brown but just perfect. The attitude and quality matches that of Mr Martin who operated the legendary friterie in St Josse for decades until his retirement in 2009.

My wife and I visited this restaurant on a rainy Friday evening in October with my parents. We heard about this new, cosy restaurant and were very happy we tried it out.We didn't take a starter and immediately went for the main dish. The men ordered a delicious côte à l'os with french fries and the ladies opted for a seabass. Both nice, tasteful dishes. Excellent meat by the way!The desserts were gorgeous as well. My wife was very enthusiastic about the dame blanche she got.We had a wonderful dinner and will not hesitate returning to this excellent address.

We enjoyed the promo menu (55€) which is an adventure of taste. Dish composition is very creative and taste combinations are surprising and interesting. There's some molecular cooking but it's well balanced with fresh classic tastes. We opted for the wine paring (40€ pp). What I appreciated was the service. So friendly and enthusiast! It was a great experience.

The center of Halle is very beautifull, free of cars and full of well preserved buildings from different eras. The restaurant is such an old, well restaured house, with possibility of outdoor sitting. The menu is small wich ensures fresh ingredients, with still enough choice. The wine menu is very small but with some choice in budget friendly wines.

In walking distance from the cathedral, nice clean interior, friendly staff and a good choice of food and drinks. My tagliatelle with salmon was delicious the portion was (very) generous. On a Friday noon the place was nearly 100% full. Being on time or booking in advance may be a good idea...

Friendly and efficient service. food well prepared;, and portions are rather big. We had aspargus as a starter and they were very well prepared.prices are reasonable and a lot of choice on the menu card. It can be rather hot in summer time I guess, and it is a pity that the terrace is situated at the street side which is very busy with lot of traffic.Price of wine also reasonable. All in all a good choice for a good meal at a good price in not the most fancy restaurant ; but we will be back becausr of quality of food and friendly and good service..

The restaurant is decorated with taste and the atmosphere is cosy. We enjoyed the extended – probably 7-courses - menu presenting seasonal game. The selection was large, from faisant to wild boar. The wines proposed were perfectly matching; the explanations received – in English - were interesting. Our regret was that in several cases, the preparation was too sophisticated whilst we would have preferred tasting a nice (small) piece of meat. One of us went for fish-seafood menu "surprise". Nice presentation but in some cases slightly simple, basic. The dessert was excellent. As pousse-café, the restaurant has a rich and interesting choice of regional liqueurs, worthwhile to taste.

The Wine Club is a very interesting address in Uccle, the Southern « commune » of Brussels.Located ch de Waterloo, Fort-Jaco, it serves wines. So far no surprise Interesting wines, most of them Bio, with a lot of references below 30 €.I was very excited to see (and taste ) Roc de Cambes 2012, a great bottle from François Mitjaville, the Bordeaux sorcerer. At 112 €, it looks pricy, but when you drink it, it explodes in the glass and surpasses a lot of much more expensive 1er Cru bottles. The first surprise comes along with the food. Most of the time, wine bars serve you banal humus and cheese board. Here the greek chef prepares delicious octopussy, an incredible risotto, tuna tataki, grilled vegetables and much more.A few days later I tried the beer list, and there comes the second surprise with almost 10 different bottled beers, all rated above 95/100 on RateBeer : Orval, Bellefleur, Gillardin, Lanterne… you’ll need a few visits to approach them all.Last but not least, you can have a god meal with 2 wine glasses for less than 30 €.Highly recommended !
