We spent our last dinner out in Belgium at this restaurant. We spotted it while walking through the town of Tilff a few days earlier and noticed what looked to be a large number of locals eating there. We didn't think to make a reservation, just showed up on a Friday night.....Luckily the staff were sympathetic and asked us if we could sit in a reserved seat but be sure to finish in two hours as the table was reserved. We were thrilled, as it was clear the restaurant was fully booked and the bar was quite full.Both our server and the chef came to our table to help us select from the menu. We have a few food allergies and cant take a chance with a mistake on our order. My husband at the daily fish offering, and I decided to try the vegetarian plate. Both were excellent. Prices were reasonable for the area. Clearly this was an excellent choice and if we are ever back that way we will go there again.

We had the 'Menu l'air de Rien' (â¬75) with the selection of wines (â¬42).The menu consisted of 17 different dishes, all of them delicious! The staff was very welcoming and helpfull, we especially liked the somelier who took his time explaining all the wines with a contagious enthousiasm.Would definitely recommend this to everyone!

our Belgian friend recommended this restaurant for our Saturday evening meal. It was a little odd on entry reminding me of a kebab or fast food restaurant. However when seated upstairs it felt very much more upmarket. A tasty amuse bouche was followed by excellent main courses. My wife failed to finish her paella as there was too much, our friend had the lamb which was excellent and I had a perfectly cooked Chateaubriand. All accompanied by a good bottle of red wine. Excellent service and a reasonable bill for the high quality of food. I'd return.

je ne suis pas un grand fan de ce genre de restaurant à la base mais je fus agréablement surpris. Je n'avais pas faim en sortant et pas trop d'attente. Tout était très bon. Ok le prix est au dessus de la moyenne mais le resto est au dessus de la moyenne, la qualité et le cadre donc normal selon moi. Seul bemol j'ai signalé dès le debut un souci d'allergie par rapport à tous les produits de la mer mais la mise en bouche fut neamoins composée de deux produits de la mer sur trois...a ce prix je pense que cela aurait pu etre ajusté.

I have visited this restaurant twice within 2 weeks, with friends and what a very pleasant surprise. The restaurant itself is bright and cheerful inside and the welcome and service by the staff was excellent on both visits.The choice of food is varied and extremely well prepared with attention to every small detail in presentation. All my friends were extremely happy with the service, quality and service of the various dishes requested and a very welcome gesture for an after dinner drink, on the house ! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to anyone who enjoys a quality, well prepared, well served menu and good choice of wines, in a delightful atmosphere of peace and quiet whilst enjoying a pleasant evening out.

We were there yesterday with friends, I took the risk to book in this restaurant as I could not get feedback from friends...We had a great time, really nice service with high quality food. We did taste poultry, meat, etc... And all plates were achieving high standards and from starter to dessert you not only get tasty food but you also get quantity... You will not be hungry after your meal!They also manage to take their time for the customers to like the experience and the atmosphere is also really nice inside! Do not get hung on the outside... The inside is cosy and you feel great there even if it can be a bit noisy when the room is full.The price is really reasonable... Starter, main and dessert for 39 euros is a real deal and you will be filled...I highly recommend that place!

My first visit with friends to this superb new restaurant in Tilff. We received a very warm welcome from the personnel. Impeccably clean and the decor has a very light and cosy atmosphere. The service and food excellent in all aspects. Very refined menu and a 'no rush' attitude. There is a small garden patio at the back of the dining room which is agreeable to look at. Cannot fault this restaurant, my first visit but will definitely be back

Fans of the money game called football that live close to a city called Liège, that are supporters of a local football club called Standard, that have a job, that regularly go to a restaurant, that do not mind being in the middle of nowhere and most of all are capable of spending a bit more than the average price of a decent restaurant in the city, will probably know Rouge du Poivre. Others will not. Or like in my case, you know someone who fits the definition above.But I will mention the fact that parking space is plenty, the scenery for having your drinks before dinner on a hot summer evening (close to the pitch of a soccer stadium) is original and that the dining experience is extremely realistic.......with realistic meaning you actually feel like the food itself...........cooked, boiled, braised, grilled.........;this restaurant ladies and gentlemen does not have a/c or at least not a device capable of cooling down an aquarium type location facing the southwest side of the stadium. As a result, on a hot summer evening, you end up like a pizza, melted on top, crusty on the side which is sad because I wanted to talk about the food...... So my attention was all about cooling down during dinner (i will not tell you what I did under the tablecloth) instead of enjoying the nice restaurant setting, the steak tartare, the tuna burger, the creamy risotta with green asparragus and the very chilly Italian wine (thanks for that). The food was well prepared, not spectacular but good, I cannot say otherwise.But in all fairness, you pay approx. 65 eur per person for dinner, you are far away from city centre and in summer time you get grilled while dining and I am not a soccer fan......so that was one time experience.
