I came here on a recommendation from one of my friends who hasn’t stopped talking about the shakes out of curiosity. We were greeted at the door and walked through the many flavours. I couldn’t believe that it would be possible to have a milk shake that actually tasted like a coffee crisp. Pro tip: you can actually mix flavoursHey there! Visited this adorable bakery with my family several times within last few weeks. It’s like an oasis of European style deserts. Everything looks so delicious and like carefully crafted pieces of art. Great variety! We tried many of them. Sooo fresh and mouth watering. I enjoyed the lemon and chocolate cheesecakes, hazelnut Roche. Truthfully, I would eat all of the treats if I could at one time. Their white chocolate raspberry truffle is heavenly. I also had a strawberry cake taken home, and my family was pretty much fighting for each piece of it. We will definitely be returning to this place and ordering their cakes for future celebrations. I saw the owners wedding cakes last time and I think it must take true talent to makes such works of art. Go and enjoy it!!!! You will fall in love with this place and it’s treats right away.

Pierogi House Waterloo

I'm really phenomenally picky about pierogies, and the pierogies house makes them how I love! They always have a good selection of flavours (my favourite is mushroom/sauerkraut), as well as a great selection of delicious salads and soups. They aren't stingy with the bacon, onion and sour cream either! A plus for me is their compostable take away containers. Only complaint, they don't have garlic soup nearly often enough! It'd also be nice to see the soups of the day on their Facebook page.

You would miss it if you didn't already know it was there. However, once you've been there you are likely to go back! I had dinner there for the first time on a week night with 2 girlfriends. I was looking for a light dinner that would be reasonably priced so they recommended Cafe 22. Well, it did not disappoint! The decor and ambiance are just lovely. The menu has salads, wraps, paninis and desserts. They also have a great wine menu with most of the wines being from the Niagara region.I had the spinach salad ($10.50) and added chicken to it ($3.50). One friend had a tune wrap and the other had a panini. We were all satisfied with our meals, and that spinach salad was one of the best I have ever had. My meal was close to $15, the glass of wine was about $10, plus tip, I paid just over $40 altogether.I'm looking forward to returning and having that salad again!

This is a small family run restaurant with an authentic atmosphere and delicious schnitzels. We went there without prior reservation. All tables were reserved but we were fortunately given a table, we ordered three different schnitzels. They come in two sizes. We ordered the large size. Our server who is the son of the family was very friendly and attentive and the schnitzels were cooked to perfection. The portions were large and the prices are quite reasonable. We did not try the appetizers or desserts. I will definitely return there and recommend it to those looking for a small authentic restaurant with good schnitzels at an acceptable price.

St George Restaurant located st the north end of King St in Waterloo. It is near the Expressway and St Jacobs Farmers Market. It is in the conference/reception hall behind the church and serves Serbian cuisine at lunch. I was with a large group which I know makes it more difficult to serve. Service was a bit slow but staff was attentive, taking drink orders and refilling water glasses. My lunch was a daily special. It arrived warm, not hot, just warm. It was meat and mushroom sauce with rice and a tiny decoration of raw vegetables. The comment of everyone at the table was that their meals were "okay" but bland. The goulash was tender but lacked any of the spicing I expected in Serbian food. Lunch starts at $9.99. There was only crepes (nutella or jam) or a daily dessert to end the meal. I don't think any one in the group will go back.

We have been stopping at this fish shop for years. We really like the fish on a bun. You have different choices for the sauce on the fish on the bun. The buns are large, chewy and very fresh. We also like the seasoned fish pieces called keibling. We visit their booth everytime we visit the farmers market. There is usually a lineup and the food is made as orders come in.We usually wait 5 to 10 minutes for our orders to be filled. It is worth the wait
