I know this restaurant since more than 10 years and I definitely recommend it to all lovers of fresh sea food, cooked with professional care in a homy atmosphere.Pros:1. Sea food freshness: the cook/owner is in business since 50 years and he knows how to select, cook and serve the best catch of the day. 2. Meal quality, quantity and appearance: meals are abundant, made of best ingredients and with the classy touch of the professional.3. Restaurant atmosphere: homy/family rather than poshy, owners often come to your table checking if all is OK.4, Service: good, attentive but not oppressive. During last dinner there was one single waiter and we waited for a few minutes between courses, but nothing annoying.5. Quality consistence: we tried the entire menu over the years and the same quality was always there. You can't get something wrong here.6. Cleanliness: kitchen is just immaculate, owner invites you to check. Cons:1. Location: out of town centre, you have to drive 20 min up a typically Genoese narrow, overparked street; parking is not always available inside or close to the restaurant.Price is fair: we spent 115 € for 2 x 3 course meals, including one bottle of decent Pigato @ 15 € i.e 50 € without drinks. You can surely spend 10-30% less in other good restaurants in town, but not get the same freshness/quality.Summing up: a sure thing for fish freaks who are not scared of a tricky trip: thumbs up.Gentile cliente non posso che ringraziarla per la sua recensione, la costanza delle sue visite e della qualità che ha espresso come elemento costante mi confermano che uno dei miei intenti è raggiunto. Really nice local food. Everyone was welcoming. Only the place a bit noisy. The service is fast. I recommend, it’s a place to visit again...

Voltalacarta

Although this small restaurant looks unassuming from the outside and you have to ring the doorbell to gain admittance, once inside you're in for a culinary treat. Menu is entirely seafood based and is high end cooking elevating it above the excellent trattorias we've enjoyed across Liguria. Attentive staff, amuse bouche and an least seven different types of freshly made bread are provided as part of the meal. Two starters, two main meals, dessert and a glass of wine cost under 100 Euros. Not cheap but this is a place for a special meal whilst in Genoa.
