Abbiamo scelto questo locale, uno dei pochi aperti nella zona dopo le 19:30, dove ci hanno fatto posto in una zona antistante la piscina improvvisando una cena per 6 persone. La scelta del cibo non è molta, è nemmeno la qualità è straordinaria, ma la fame ha fatto sì che tutto sembrasse buono. Alla fine ci siamo accontentati di ciò che la casa passava, ma con tutta sincerità ritengo che il livello del locale é poco più di un fast food. Anche il conto credo sia leggermente fuori quota, considerato il servizio e la qualità del cibo mangiato. Sicuramente non ci torno.

We ate here largely by accident, but am so glad we did. It turned out to be one of the best meals of our whole Austrian holiday. The simple "ofenloch" potato dish comprised two enormous, crispy jacket potatoes, with a delicious sour cream, yogurt, herb and bacon topping which, for the price, was simply incredible value. The "Steirische" potato was a single jacket potato, served as above, but with a huge portion of steaming hot vegetables AND two very generous pork medallions which were seasoned and cooked to perfection. This restaurant simply serves delicious food at a very very fair price. The dining area had a great ambience and the owner came out from behind the grill to talk to us about our travels, our plans and to ensure we had everything we needed. It made the whole experience very enjoyable and upheld the traditions of Austrian hospitality. Highly recommended, and if we were staying longer, we would definitely make a return visit. No question! Go. You won't regret it.

When I visit Obervellach for couple of days with my girlfriend this restaurant was our favourite :) They made really good pizza, like vegetarian, tuna, pikant , and '' house pizza'' - this one is the Best ! :) Also Gordon Blue is good choice. The staff is very friendly and efficient. They also have a terrace from which is beautiful view of the mountains and tennis courts.

Stopped for this restaurant for dinner during a long drive.Ordered two Schnitzels with French Fries and both Schnitzels had a weird taste. Did not finish them.The service was awkward. Super uninterested waiter, speaking so soft that he was barely understandable..All in all, a quick meal at a place I will never step in to again.

Nach unserem Besuch der Ruine Hohenburg und der Wallfahrtskirche Maria, die beide in unmittelbarer Nähe gelegen sind, haben wir im Wintergarten-ähnlichen Anbau des Gasthofes Platz genommen.Bei Kaffee und Kuchen das wunderbare Panorama von hier oben über das Tal genossen. Der Service war flott.Eine Empfehlung von uns, erst recht, wenn Sie vom Tal her den Aufstieg getätigt haben.Für Gäste, die mit dem PKW hochfahren, findet sich hier ebenfalls kein groÃes Parkgelände, aber ausreichend Platz.

This restaurant serves pizza's and typical Austrian dishes like wienerschnitzel, cordon blue etc. We had a jaeger schnitzel with French fries. Big portions and delicious. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is on the road to Mallnitz and is easy to find with plenty of parking space. Just a nice Austrian restaurant which I can highly recommend!

The title says it all. The portions are generous, the quality excellent (we had the wild venison followed by apple strudel - all home made with local ingredients and washed down by a very passable local beer) the service was with a smile and prompt and the value for money excellent - especially since, if you arrive in a motorhome, they let you stay the night for free. Five stars for the restaurant and an extra one for the might halt :)

good traditional restaurant in this very small village, just cross the arch steel bridge and you are there.generous portions of well cooked and well presented mains. The staff is a little bit cold, but the chef is very good, and this makes the difference. Quite and relaxing atmosphere

Julio gives a friendly welcome to his restaurant in Kolbnitz. Good portions, tasty food freshly prepared and reasonable prices. Mainly Italian pasta and pizza,with some Austrian standards, fish, salads and grills on the menu. Pizza take-away also available. Daily specials on blackboard. Restaurant area is non-smoking (something still not found in all Austrian restaurants), which makes for an enjoyable experience.
