We had a business lunch at the restaurant in this 'castle'... The cuisine is Austrian, nothing to say about that, the menu is quite clear about it. We were practically the only customers and were encouraged to have some of this and maybe more of that on top of our order. The curry / apple soup tasted mainly of cocos-milk, the horseradish sauce with my tafelspitz (boiled beef) was non-existent and the beef was not tender as I would expect from, indeed, boiled beef... Service was good, food was average, the bill democratic, however, I would not recommend the location unless you do have any way out (as was my case).

Waren mit 10 Personen beim Ripperlessen.Gibt leider nur die "american style" .Für jene die diese süÃen Ripperl mögen sicher nett.Die Zutaten mit Brot, kaltem Kraut und Sauce etwas dürftig und haben sich den überhöhten Preis von über â¬12,50 nicht verdient.Alle Personen konsumierten zwischen 20 und 30 ⬠und tranken Alkohol.Dass zum Abschluss noch 2 mal 0,5 l Leitungswasser mit je ⬠1,00zu bezahlen waren befinden ich daher als nicht kundenfreundlich.Mich und meine Freunde sehen die nie wieder.Zusätzlich war der Gastraum , da von der Bar nicht getrennt, verraucht.

We had a lovely meal sitting outside in the charming little town of Biberbach. The beef broth with cheese dumplings was one of the tastiest soups I've ever eaten: homemade, subtle and delicious. Light and delicate glasses of Most (like a pear wine) accompanied the meal, and the waitress was so friendly and helpful we felt right at home. A really great find in a beautiful landscape.

Absoluter Mittagstipp: Menü mit Suppe ODER Nachspeise ⬠7,90. Mit Suppe UND Nachspeise E 9,90. Getränkepreise normal. Bedienung und Chefs sehr freundlich.Essen: Die GröÃe der Portionen finde ich manchmal übertrieben, Geschmack sehr gut.Egal welches Fleisch es gibt, sorgar Rindfleisch und Schweinekotelette sind angenehm weich und zart gedünstet, gegrillt, gebacken oder was immer. Kompliment an die Küche!

On our bike tour from Passau to Vienna we stayed in this wonderfull hotel. We liked the room, the wellness center, the atmosphere and the host Frau Pritz.We had a great dinner in the hotel's restaurant - smoked trout, winer schnitzel, beef steak, home made pasta - all very good.Hope to come again.

Ohne groÃe Erwartungen bin ich hier eingekehrt, obwohl mir BerufskollegInnen bereits vorgeschwärmt haben, dass hier sehr gutes Essen zum erstaunlich günstigem Preis zu haben ist.Und tatsächlich, das Wiener Schnitzel war eines der Besten die ich bisher gegessen habe. Das Lokal war während meines Besuchs durchgehend voll, sodass ich an der Bar sitzen musste.Die beiden Kellnerinnen waren freundlich und flink.Als die Rechnung kam, war ich überrascht dass mein Puten-Wiener nur ⬠9,10 kostete, obwohl es so groà war, dass ich es fast nicht aufessen konnte.Da werde ich definitiv wieder kommen.

The team are well trained, welcoming - but don't smother you, service is efficient. I would suggest that they take a little time to explain the menu, highlight some dishes. Good selections of bottled wines, but limited by the glass. Starters were sublime, my goats cheese, figs and beetroot was to die for 10/10 Mains all well presented and my MIL & FIL loved their ragout. My husbands fish was lovely. But here is where the kitchen was out of touch. They had an 80s flashback and cooked the meat medium-well? I didn't even think to ask to cook my dish MedRare - as a restaurant of this caliber shouldn't serve it any other way. My daughters was the same. Beautiful cut of meat destroyed by 4-5 mins too long in the pan. My dish was also missing a side?? So disappointing - everything else was outstanding. The kitchen need to either tell the servers to communicate that the meat is cooked medium-well and ask if you prefer it differently. Or the kitchen need to get the meat on track Medium-Rate! We will definitely be back.

I called into the Restaurant as it was close to the site I was working, we arrived about 12:30 and the location was very busy. The venue is remote and lovely setting, we where seated promptly and presented with an im pressive menu, it has lots of local dishes and the staff are dressed in traditional Austrian dresses. I had a local soup to start which was nice, and steak with a side of salad. Service and quality of food was good and would be worth a re visit.
