We ate here for two nights/two breakfasts and the choice and quality was excellent. Great to see a slightly different dinner menu each day reflecting the food in season. The breakfast choice was also good - the American style pancakes were light and fluffy. Very good indeed

After a little research, I stumbled across Eight whilst planning our weekend visit to Bath. Booked a table on line with ease. What can I say! An absolute exquisite small restaurant which Iâm glad I booked for. Eight tables only in the main restaurant and catering downstairs for parties. Tucked down a smaller side street in central Bath, we found the restaurant in easy walking distances from where we were staying on the Royal Crescent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were all welcoming and happy to engage in conversation.The menu consisted of eight dishes with food supplied from local producers. A suggestion of wine (red and/or white) were on the menu for each dish and boy did they get this right! We took our daughter with us and for an eleven year old, she was also very impressed (not much impresses a pre teen these days!) with the selection. She had the plaice on seafood risotto. - cooked to perfection and served in a stunning lobster sauce, she devoured the lot.I had the roast lamb and all I have to say is wow! Cooked medium rare and served with croquet, roast potatoes and peas on a mint base topped with a beautiful jús. It melted. My husband had the rabbit which was served among baby carrot and kale, topped with a jús. He described it as tender and succulent with just the right accompaniment .Desert was also outstanding. The flourless chocolate cake with ice cream and the ice cream trios were a dream. An exquisite meal had by all of us and we canât recommend highly enough. Dear Guest,Thank you for your review. Four of us visited this pub for an evening meal. Our friends had booked a table and they had been twice at lunchtime. A good thing as it was very busy. There is a good sized car park and the pub is situated in the village of Hinton Charterhouse between Bath and Frome and Warminster. The service was excellent. We all ordered something different off the menu. I had grilled mushrooms as a starter they were delicious. I ordered Thai green curry and it was ok but not the best I have eaten. My friend ordered chilli con carne but it was too spicy for her liking. The other two in our party enjoyed their food and the bannofee dessert was great. To be fair we were not charged for one dessert to compensate for the chilli. The drinks were spot on. We may return but we will stick to popular food like fish and chips or steak pie and chips.

Unfortunately our experience here on Sunday 1st September 2019 was not a good one, we were looking forward to a hot Sunday Roast- sadly this was not the case- we had roast pork with very undercooked veg, the roast potatoes were not properly roasted- all served with some sort of mustard sauce and no gravy - the pork was so thinly sliced it had the appearance of mass produced box meats - additionally the meals were warm and not hot - at £13.00 per roast it was not good value for money.The front of house staff were very hospitable and helpful with nice décor - but the overall atmosphere was a bit clinical for a lovely looking County Inn on a busy Road - its a shame as we were returning customers from several years ago where we had enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere - however this was not to be on our last visit :(Hello, Thank you for taking time to give feedback.
