I came to this restaurant completely by accident: had gone to the Waasland Shopping Center (just around the corner) and happened to pass there.When you enter, you immediately see that this is a "better" Chinese restaurant. The menu - thankfully - is not as extended as most other Chinese, but again, you see that this is out of the ordinary. Prices, of course, are also somewhat higher.Imagine my suprise when I discovered that they had a luncheon menu for ... EUR 15,00! You have the choice of 15 or so soups/first courses, and 20 or so main courses. You also get an appetizer (delicious!) and an ice cream or coffee afterwards.The only reason I give a "very good' instead of an "excellent" rating is that I was not too keen on the tomato soup; otherwise it was all splendid.I'll certainly be back here and I wholeheartedly recommend this place for lovers of good Chinese food.

I ate here with a group of friends, the service was good, the selection of food was extensive and extremely tasty. 30⬠sounds a lot, but with lobster on offer on Thursday, oysters sushi,and steak, you'll not leave disappointed, also 4.50 for all you can drink soft,alcoholic and coffee. The excellent company also helped.

I have only got food for take-away so cannot comment much on the quality of the dishes served, but we found the food a bit oily (nasi dishes). The duck was not crispy as per the Peking style definitions, it even tastes better if I cook it at home so I was a bit disappointed. Also, they only accept cash or visa (no bankcontact in Belgium?!). I will give it a second chance for an in-house visit but if it is the same quality, we won't repeat.

My boyfriend's dad has a thing for (Westernized) Chinese food so we went to De Lange Muur for his birthday lunch. The restaurant is located on a busy road, the parking spaces are a little awkward so sometimes we've parked down the street, but this time there was ample space.The restaurant was also pretty empty, not many tables were occupied. As it was a special occasion we all shared the lobster menu. To be honest it was a little underwhelming. For the price of the menu you expect more refined dishes, it didn't feel very "special". The portions were large, we're never able to eat all when we dine here. The staff was very awkward that day, we had a feeling our waiter had only just started at his job. Anyhow, I think this restaurant isn't a bad choice for the average weeknight takeout/dinner, but for something more special I'd go elsewhere.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is absolutely awesome. We loved the traditonal decoration and very nice music. The staff was very friendly and discrete. They were wearing traditional (normal) clothing. The housewine was not so tasty. It was so light you could see through it. It might be traditional Chinese wine, but I didnt like it. It was rather expensive for 1/2 liter.We took one of the ricetables from 24 euro per person. We had a delicious soup with large mushrooms and then 4 dim sum, wich were delicious too! The main dish was absolutely awesome!!! Delicious Peking Duck, something chicken with honey and sesame (great!) And a fishy tasty (spicty) dish, loved it! This with, ofcourse, nasi goreng. Mjamie! We werent able to finish all, and trust me, we were hungry and used to huges meals! The dessert was a vanilla icecream with lichees and caramel sauce. Overall: very very good.
