Wir waren wegen der guten Bewertungen dich sehr enttäuscht. Der Küchengruss zum Beginn versprach noch einiges, aber beim Salat, der kaum Dressing aber dafür viel Wasser zubieten ging es stetig abwärts. Das Wiener Schnitzel war sehr öllastig genau wie die Pommes Frites, die extra Pilzsauce , ging gar nicht, die Pilze irgendwie nur glitschig und schleimig . Unser Gaumen war da wohl zu verwöhnt, obwohl 4 unzufriedene Gaumen sprechen für sich. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, das Personal freundlich. Trotzdem, wir kommen nicht wieder.

Always enjoy going to the Cafe del Sol. They have a beautiful heated terrace and well decorated interior with tables that are spaced out to give you privacy. The food and service are above standard; huge plates that are actually filled to the edges and wait staff that keep an eye out for when you need extra ketchup! I always go for the mushroom sauce schnitzel, can't go wrong! My advice is to reserve a table on Friday or Saturday and in the cool evenings its nice to get one in the centre of the patio.

I travel on business to recklinghausen frequently and I've eaten there twice. Both time the food was very good. On my second visit the restaurant was full and therefore service was slow. Nonetheless I would visit this restaurant again as the menu was appealing and the price were reasonable.

Visited this restaurant recently with family. Friendly and welcoming staff. Modern and comfortable restaurant. The food was delicious, very fresh and well presented. Das Mont Cenis eignet sich gut bei schönem Wetter drauÃen sein Frühstück einzunehmen. Der günstige Preis spiegelt sich (natürlich) in der Qualität der Wurst, Schinken, Käse Darreichungen wider. Für Anspruchslose, bei denen es nicht Serano Schinken oder original frz. Barguettsalami sein muss, aber völlig ok. Tasse Kaffe/Tee ist inbegriffen. Das schöne am Restaurant ist die Lage in der Fussgängerzone bei der sich allerlei beobachten lässt. Stammgäste, meist Rentner, schwatzen an den Tischen und immer wieder wird ein Vorübergehender (be)gegrüÃt. Junge Mütter schieben einen Kinderwagen vor sich her und machen Besorgungen. Lokalkolorit halt. Aber auch die andere Seite wird deutlich. Herumlungernde Jugendliche fast ausnahmslos männlich und mit ausländischen Aussehen. Flaschensammler und Bettler.Fazit: Ruhrpott Milieustudie im Brennpunkt und abseits von der Sozialromantik unserer politischen Führung. Eigentlich unbezahlbar.

As close as you will get to an authentic steakhouse in Germany. We Canadians are spoiled by the quality of meat we get here compared to that offered in Europe. This restaurant is not going to compare to Ruth's, Mortons, The Keg, but it does get you as close as you will find in Europe. If you need a steak, this is a good place to get one.

We have eaten at the Park Restaurant several times and recently tried the Karousell Menu which was superb!!The ambient is very classy, the service attentive and freindly, the choice of wines, if not extensive, quite good.We have also had the Sunday Afternoon 'Bergische Kaffetafel' with the whole family which was an interesting mixture of sweet and savoury items with coffee.The restaurant has progressed to being the best in the town at the moment.

The restaurant is in a nice green area of the city next to the Animal Park and âFossiliumâ. The inside matches the outside perfectly, large windows let in plenty of light and the décor is stylish but comfortable. As it is an Austrian restaurant we had the âWiener Schnitzelâ- a boneless breaded veal chop and âbackhendlâ. We thought that the âbackhendlâ was chicken â which it was - but it turned out to be 3 pieces of breaded deep fried chicken breasts. They were tender but tasteless and over prized. As side dish a potato salad with lambâs lettuce was served. The âWiener Schnitzelâ and the side dish were ok and we enjoyed the wine. Maybe the service was slow because we went for dinner on a Saturday evening.

Why I have not reviewed this venue before I cannot explain - perhaps because it is so 'chic' that it is out of the normal for holiday visitors and a secret for the locals, but again this vist was exceptionally good. Beware, it is not cheap - indeed some may find it over the top for the size of the plates served, but there was plenty to add to the main item - my first course was shrimps in a Pernod Sauce -simply WOW. For the main I took a chance. I have seem Loach being thrown back by my fishing friends in England and never on a menu - indeed we had to look up the English to translate to Loach. Needless to say I will try and introduce it to my friends the next time we are in town - it was superbly cooked and presented. The venue oozes class, and the service was not only polite, but with a friendly twist which left me feeling very welcome and able to ask 'silly' questions of the menu - something which sometimes can be a little embarrassing. Please save up and try Elsasser Stube (with or without the 'umlaut')
