We have been here a couple of times in the past and always enjoy good quality food. We called in here lunchtime on Thursday 27 June. The place was fairly busy with more people outside in the sun then indoors. We found a table and were served straightway. The young lady was very efficient and took our drinks and food orders. The food is amazing and I can highly recommend the Large Cod, Chips & Peas. Another excellent thing to mention is the price of a bottle of White Wine. My wife ordered up a bottle of Chardonnay and that was very reasonably priced at £11 per bottle. I wanted a lager and was disappointed that they only served bottles and had nothing to offer on draught. Anyway both drinks we order were perfect. Really like all the positives with this place and this ensures you have a great experience. We will always call in here when we visit Haying Island.

We enjoyed the walk to Driftwood cafe and sat in their charmingly pretty garden. We had a bowl of the most gorgeous parsnip and apple soup served with brown Westbourne brown bread & a very generous helping of 2 butter pats, absolutely gorgeous. We didn't need anything else besides our jug of tap water and the bill was an extremely reasonable amount. Can't wait to go back. The sandwich choice with a smaller soup is also always a gorgeous option too.

Flintstones is a harbour side cafe with panoramic views. We offer breakfast, light lunches , afternoon teas and new forest ice creams.
We saw this tea shop at the start of our walk and looked forward to having a coffee on our return this Saturday morning....Unfortunately, and looking at the recent reviews, ours will go against the grain...Although busy outside, my wife entered with no queue... 5 minutes went by before one of 5 to 6 young girls behind the counter served her...They were all discussing who had and who had not paid...Even when finally served, there was no apology and quite frankly any urgency...We will return when next intending to walk our dog, and we'll see if there's an improvement.....Maybe this was a one off but as we were first timers, you didn't impress....Sorry to read your review, but feel itâs is a tad over exaggerated you say we were full outside and quiet inside, we have 5 tables outside yet you waited 5 minutes to get served, I assure you it would not have taken 5 minutes to a job that they were doing before you entered, and they were doing their job, ensuring which customers had paid and which had not. There were 5 girls on and 2/3 work on the front counter not 5/6, they are seasoned hard working girls who do there up most to keep the business running smoothly. Are we perfect. No. But please just have some patience.

Now called Miles Kitchen. We visited this bistro for our Valentines night. We had a pre set meal for two for the occasion. The food was hot and beautifully cooked and lots of it. Real value for money. The staff are very cheerful and polite and I recommend you give this place a try. It has a nice atmosphere itâs easy to find and good weather you are going for lunch or dinner

With half an hour to fill, I thought a cup of tea would suit. I chanced upon Ruby's - lucky me! I was attracted by the books along the front window - just looked a comfortable place. Mug of tea - very nice. And then I saw mince pies on the counter - looking lovely. Yes please! It came with Rodda's cream. Delicious. The price of this feast? £2.20!! Fabulous. And I bought one of the books for £1 in a charity box.Thank you very much . My mum served you and said what a nice man you were . Hope to see you again and a merry Christmas to you .

Award winning Tearoom in the heart of Havant. good food award 2014 and 2015!
I had read lots of good reviews on Trip advisor ao had high hopes. A friend said she would meet me near my home and Havant isnt too far from home so i took this opportunity to visit. It looked bigger from the pictures. It was busy for lunch on a weekday. Because it was busy it was actually quite noisy and my friend was getting quite a draught every time the door opened. It is a nice cafe however i felt the menu was quite limited, i was expecting a variety of cakes on offer. I also thought it was a tad expensive however the jacket potatoes we both had were nice and lots of filling which is always a plus. Downside slightly that it was cash only which meant i had to cobble some cash together. Will visit again but not with more than one other friend.

Sunday night chips on Hayling. Not busy but service very slow with one guy simply doing very little behind the counter. Order for simple 3 portions of chips and a saveloy took 20 mins. And then thatâs with hardly being rushed off your feet. Eventually the order was ready to go. Shame the chips were average.....and therefore failed to make up for the slow service.

Great service, delicious coffee and tea, plus a lovely shared piece of apple cake with fruit fresh from the local orchard belonging to the vicar apparently. Plus there are three - or at a push - four car park spaces out front which make a drop-in visit very easyMost establishments around that end of Hayling Island seem to be typical beach-cafes or almost greasy-spoons and parking can vary up to £3 (all day, I'll grant, but who needs that??). However, the Madhatter's is a delightful and interesting room that serves a good range of fare and seems to us to be a worthy no. 1 in the localityGood clean facilities as well, which is always welcomeIf you're searching on your phone - or just passing - this shop is highly recommended

Traditional tea room set in beautiful surroundings. We have a ever changing menu, which includes all of our most popular home cooked quiches, bakes, soups and so much more. Open 7 days a week we have lovely gardens with outdoor seating in a tranquil, rela
Red Leicester and Apple Chutney quiche - that is the one I tried, served as a slice with garnish and coleslaw; beautifully cooked with lots of filling and crispy pastry. My Husband chose the Beef and mushroom curry, which he said was good, nice flavour not overpowering, and both priced very reasonably. Due to the sizes of the cakes we shared a Pear and almond slice. We were visiting with friends, a large party of 7 on a Sunday lunchtime (we had booked) there was no delays with friendly, helpful service.A Christmas booking has been made.
