Even if I went there with my best friend, I would suggest this restaurant even for couples.Small place, few tables, nice service, great steaks and we had the Scottona red wine (allegedly made for them by a famous Italian winery) that worked very well with our food.One of the best places in Modena for stakes, the price is right for the overall experience

The restaurant has been renovated with a low budget but got a decent facelift. It's a very large establishment so it gets noisy but during our night, never to an unacceptable level. They offer lots of options for your dinner but really, all you should aim for, if the roasted cockerel Very, very tasty (our wasn't hot despite what is written on the menuThe experience has been ruined by the service. First of all, we got forcefully scooped up from the entrance while we were waiting for our friends Secondly the waitress complained because she thought we were 3 while the reservation was for a party of 11 while the only problem was that our friends were still looking for a parking on the street since their parking lot is good for a house, not for a restaurant.Third, a kid broke a glass during the dinner and no one came to scoop it up for a while. Even, after they did, they did with a broom so they left a few pcs here and there that had to be picked up by hand from the parents. Fourth, while you are waiting you are served some buckets of peanuts so you can imagine that your restaurant is not gonna stay tidy, in particular with kids around, and ours went there to eat some around a fireplace; after a while a waiter came and told us, and I quote, "excuse me, could you please tell your kids not to eat peanuts next to the fireplace because you know... we are the ones who have to clean after so you can imagine.. "They didn't make a mess but in any cases, the tone was inexcusable. Fifth and last strike, they do not make separate checks for any group, large or small, and despite officially accepting credit cards, our didn't work twice despite having worked beautifully just a couple of hours before. As long as you can forget the service, the cockerel will make you happy

This restaurant is very central, not far from piazza grande. It does only (or almost) meat. If you fancy a steak, this is the place. He quality is excellent! Portions are extremely generous. I could not finish my dish.
