Holten (Dutch Low Saxon: Hooltn) is a small village in the municipality of Rijssen-Holten in the Dutch province of Overijssel, with approximately 10,000 inhabitants. Holten is located in a forested area just south of the Holterberg, a 65-metre (210 ft) hill, and is part of the "Sallandse Heuvelrug" National Park. The National Park is the only area in the Netherlands in which the black grouse (in Dutch: korhoen) can be found. This grouse population is on the brink of extinction, so parts of the National Park are closed to the public during its breeding season.

Wenn man ein Brötchen mit Huhn haben möchte oder Abends keine Lust zum kochen hat, hier gibt es alles rund um das Huhn. Lecker und schnell klar gemacht. Es gibt sogar eine Art von Barbecue Pfanne in der Mann verschiedene Häppchen (Huhn) klarmachen kann, sehr lecker und schnell geregelt.

We are visiting friends and always drop in here after a long day and we are never disappointed. I had the mixed grill, my wife the fish and chips and our friend the steak. All were excellent and the big fries were awesome. My wife and our friend had the Dame Blanc and the "little desert" which was what the chef was using that day. Excellent as always. Don't be disappointed if you go on Mondays as but is closed.
