The Restaurant âAlla Vecchia Fornaceâ is a typical italian Trattoria, a casual place where you can taste traditional dishes coming from the real umbrian cooking tradition. Our menu has been completely renovated in order to offer you the best seasonal coun
The wine (basically only Lungarotti) is fine, the food is acceptable but the service is poor and not very attentive. Not a smile to be seen especially from the (head) waiter. The seats are like garden chairs and incredibly uncomfortable. Not somewhere I would choose to eat in again.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful village from where you can have a splendid view over the mountains and you can see in the horizon cities like Perugia and Torgiano. You can have different pizzas, pastas, great grilled meat or total menu with reasonable price and always ask what is kitchen's daily menu. Ask restaurant's own sommelier what wine he would suggest for you lunch or dinner. P.S They will also open their renovated small hotel with spa in the near future.Grazie

The strong sense of belonging to the roots and the interest in the rediscovery of the "good food" and "good wine" are the basis of the concept of the inn, Di Vin Porcello ( Di Wine Swine) an ironic play on words to convey a clear message. Open on Fridays

After a big lunch in Perugia we dropped in here just for a salad and a bottle of local white wine late on a Sunday evening. Coming from Perthshire we were amazed to find all the salads named after Scottish towns (Perth, Lerwick, Stirling....) so no prizes for guessing what we took! It was big and tasty. The local Umbrian wine made from four grape varieties had a good depth and was reasonably priced. The service was cheerful and the place was well patronised by locals. The decor was somewhere between bierkeller and brasserie with beer posters from all over.
