We went there for an early dinner.The design is cozy and modern, the menu only offers a small amount of different dishes.But the dishes are diverse and creative, the quality of the food was excellent. For many dishes there was a veggie version available. Service was nice, the prices reasonable.

We had a light supper at Vriendschap on a cold dark night. We ordered shrimp bisque and a Tom Ka with bean sprouts and other veggies in it. Both soups were delicious. My bottle of Zeeland apple juice was so unusually delicious that my wife had to order a bottle for herself. The lust for new flavors got the better of us, and we ordered some shrimp kroket which were also delicious. The wait staff were helpful and polite, and food arrived reasonably promptly. One delightfully charming staff member chatted with us when we found out she was from Indonesia. Vriendschap was the most memorable restaurant that we visited in Middelburg, and we recommend it very highly for atmosphere, friendliness, taste, and value.Hello dear Staidthere,Thank you so much for your nice review. We visited this small brewery and all of us had different local brewed beers, and nobody was disappointed. It was a nice day, so we enjoyed the backyard outdoors seating. In case you have an hour or so to spare, a definite fun place to go. We did not have anything to eat there (just FYI).

This is a nice eatery looking more like a brown cafe. But the service is really good, the food is more than decent, the prices are right and the beer list long. Atmosphere great.

Last night 10 of us ate here. There is an outside are by the canal and in inside bar and dining area. We were inside. The selection of beers are substantial but most are in 25 or 33cl measures which is strange to us English. The food was very reasonable it tasted good and was on the good side of the curve on price. The let down was the service. It wasnât that it was bad, it just wasnât there. Most of the time we watched an waited to be waited on and it just didnât happen. By the time we got someoneâs attention for the bill, I was getting hungry again!Dear Martin,Thanks for visiting us and letting us know how you experienced your visit. Good to hear you liked the food. We regret that you didn't appreciate our service.We also regret that you didn't appreciate the fact that we made room for you on one of our busiest nights in the year allthough you didn't make a reservation. Concerning the measures of our beers: We know that there is a difference between (your) imperial system and (our) metric system. But to hold that against us in a TripAdvisor review...well,remarkable. Finally: Our staff made a great effort to help you. We did not hear one complaint on the night it self while we thanked everybody personally when you left. All in all: we had had another impression then you describe in your review. But I guess we misjudged that..
