Just passing decided to call for a late lunch. Chips, mushy peas and fish gougons accompanied by tea. Very nice. Looked after by Katie. All staff very friendly and helpful. Need to get a new Georgeâs card. Will go again

A surprise birthday dinner was arranged for me by my partner. Ten of us sat down to a lovely meal. We all ordered different meals. They all came out together, all were hot and well presented. Extra vegetables, potatoes, chips and salad were brought out too.The staff were excellent... friendly and attentive. We all enjoyed very tasty meals.Thank you to the Carnarvon staff for my lovely birthday dinner ( and my partner of course)

Carvery good and staff friendly but strange they toilet arrangement see picture below see picture belowNormally use the disabled but greeted by door sign that says gents, disabled and child changing did not even dare open the door instead went to the ladies of which there were 2 squashed together my bottom was on the bin and no I am not huge I am a size 14 - 16. Went here last night with a group of 11The service received from Amy Andrews was excellent a real people person .However the food is of poor quality Sirloin steak medium so tough it was inedible.Fish pie obviously frozen as the sauce was like water and the fish no flavour.Chicken tough Need I go on ! Give it a wide berth or just go there to see Amy and have a drink !

Our third visit here and another very good experience. The pub is in a lovely setting, right next to the canal.Extensive menu including GF options. All very well cooked and presented, served by friendly, efficient staff.Slight mix-up with our booking which meant we had to sit at a table near to the bar. However, the member of staff who served us more than made up for this by the efficiency of how she dealt with us, making sure that this did not affect our experience. Thank you - we will be back!

Arrived for a lunch stop on a long journey. Felt a little unsure upon arrival as there did not seem to be a record of our booking made the previous day. However, the staff were very welcoming, the food was plentiful and very good value. Despite our initial hesitations, we would certainly stop off there again.

A little gem of a place. The staff are the best ever. Nothing is too much trouble they are so friendly and helpful. The food is not mass produced but cooked to perfection. Absolutely Everything was lovely. We last came here on Christmas Day which was spot on and intend booking for Christmas again. Thank you

Took the family here for a celebratory meal. The food was excellent service was a little hit and miss but the place was extremely busy so can understand the servce. This was the first time I had been to this restaurant even though it is only about 2 miles from where I live (but it will not be the last time)I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something more up market than normal food grub.

I went to Oliver's for the first time for Lunch with a couple of friends. The staff where very friendly & welcoming. The food was excellent, 2 of us had freshly cooked cod in light crispy batter, peas & hand cut chips. Our other friend had the pie which she said was equally as good. It was 2 for £10 & drinks £2 we couldn't believe the excellent value for money for the quality of the food. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try homemade deserts which sounded tempting, next time we will.
