Read this: if you’re in Takoradi, go eat here!I came here based on recommendations and TripAdvisor ratings and I was not disappointed.This place brings a level of quality to Takoradi that has been missing for a long time.Decent place for hand washing, nice seating area and bar, service prompt with a smile, quick good delivery!The food was great and best of all it is really competitively priced compared to what hotels charge for food!Butter chicken rice and beer cost me 44c, this is at least 20c cheaper that what I would pay at hotels. And I could have shared the meal it was so much.

We waited an hour and a half for a hamburger, soup and some kebabs. I understand this is common at Gilous. Had the food been good, the wait would have been worth it. The food was average (maybe slightly below average), so we left fairly disappointed.Avoid the hamburgers. The buns are weird.We are really sorry for the inconvenience.Next time please feel free to ask the contact of the owner or the manager to make any claim or request. Please let us know when you come back and we will make sure you change your mind about the restaurant ;-).Thanks.

This is a sports bar not really my thing, it is a bit dark inside. There is an outside smoking area, take insect repellent.The food portions used to be huge they are waning a little in size now. I was there with a colleague I had the grouper and chips he had the rib-eye steak. The grouper was excellent, the rib-eye steak had to be sent back as it was very chewy the staff happily and promptly changed it and gave him a free drink it was good the next time.This has not put us off we visited Champs a number of times.When a match is on this is generally a busy bar.
