Aside from being quite ordinary and nothing of note, the burgers (Caesar Chicken-Burger and Veggie-Burger) were cold. Not the they got cold while being brought to the table from the kitchen cold but.. cold. And there were 4 of them, so it was not a coincidence. The fries were nicely done, warm crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The desert - a certain cherry-jam, chocolate flakes and syrup on vanilla icecream was delightful. Unfortunately can not recall the name but it was in a separate menu.Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay. We have to apologize for the burgers. This must have been a mistake and we are really sorry! Glad that you enjoyed the rest of the food and hope to see you around again soon!

This is a restaurant cum beer garden type of a place. The latter serves Bratwurst and Buletten, and has a few stations where you can order drinks. The Mueckenwirt is beautifully located on the banks of the Elbe, overlooks the island in the middle of the river, has a small passenger ferry operating nearby, and the long-distance cycle path running almost through the beer garden. Picturesque!

Served by the rudest most ignorant waitress ever, who after serving my drink promptly proceeded to light a cigarette behind the bar and play with her phone.I asked if she could possibly put the American grand prix (F1) on one of the many televisions, however all I got was a no only the American football, which was on all televisions.To top it off the beer was awful, so I left almost a full glass and went elsewhere for food.The ignorant waitress didn't even look up from her phone and say goodbye.I definitely won't be returning here the next time I am in Magdeburg.

Good god I love this bar. They have done such an amazing job creating a little slice of paradise right on the Elbe river. I honestly felt like I was sitting on the beach in Cancun! This isn't the place to go if you're looking for a hopping bar scene, but if you want to relax with some friends and sip some drinks on a sunny day, there is nowhere better in Magdeburg. Oh, and get the Mojito! It is killer.

We were thrilled to even get a table. It was a Friday night, we had no booking and we were tired from cycling all day. A table was found in a very busy restaurant. Service was great as was the food. The vibe was fun and felt like it was a popular place with the locals.
