Well that was a surprise. We've eaten at various chef restaurants and plenty of places in Leeds but this was up there with them. The food was honest, tasty, interesting and not expensive. The atmosphere was lovely mainly because the venue wasn't too big and the chef delivered some oc the food and talked to the customers.Great place and we will be visiting hom again.

Sunday lunch with son, daughter and partners. Booked in advanced, nice bright seating near window. Prompt and efficient service. All had Sunday roast. The beef was really nicely cooked. The potatoes were a bit big and would have preferred them to be smaller and more crispy and roasted. We have been previously and would return again. Nice real ale too

I quite like west end house. Havenât been for a while. 8 of us managed to ring up and make a reservation for 2 hours later, 5pm on a Sunday. Quirky little pub, feels like a real English traditional pub. Staff really nice and helpful, genuinely cheerful and happy to help. Dog friendly. You order at the bar and they bring it to the table. Waited around 20 mins for food. Childrenâs menu had no vegetarian options so my daughter had chips with beans which they knocked some money off. I had the Sunday dinner. Sunday lunch was nice and plentiful. Tasted like my grandmas Sunday roast. Only disappointment was the frozen Yorkshireâs (Boo!) this really makes a difference. Places really shouldnât be serving cheap stale aunt Bessieâs on a sundae roast. I feel like this is what sets it apart and wonât make me want to return. We never ever buy frozen Yorkshireâs I always make mine from scratch. If this establishment did real yorkies it would set it above the rest! Also the carrots were tinned or frozen so they werenât very nice - salty and mushy. All in all it was ok. Would probably return as it is cheap and cheerful. But little tweaks would set it above the rest, especially at the great prices

We called in for Sunday lunch, I had the pork dinner my wife had the beef dinner. We both loved it all the vegetables were fresh, the portions were ample. All the staff were very helpful ant the pub had a great atmosphere full of familys having a good time. We will definitely be going back

I phoned to make a last minute booking for myself and my mum and luckily they were able to accommodate us. We were seated in front of the bar and our waitress Alice introduced herself. She was chatty, warm and friendly.We had allowed plenty of time to eat as we didn't know how busy they would be and we had tickets to a show that evening but service was prompt so there was no rush for us. The food was absolutely delicious. Thanks a lot!

Not quite a 5* place for reasons I will explain later. But first the good points: the food is tasty and well-presented. Itâs great value for money. The owners definitely welcome you and the service is attentive but not oppressive! You get crystal glasses for your drinks! On the downside - place is a little small and gets noisy. My particular put-off was the parading of guests (maybe customers - more probably friends of the owners) with their dogs! Staff were stroking the dogs and then served us our food! No thanks! One of the dogs was big enough to be mistaken for a small horse! Finally people go outside to smoke - close to the open front door - all the smoke ends up back inside!Hey Costas!Thank you for kind words on our food and drink offerings! We take hygiene very seriously which is evident from our 5 star from the Food Standard Agency. As we are dog friendly and provide them with treats, staff are trained to wash their hands if they provide the warm welcome that we encourage here. If customers are exiting the premises to smoke, it is their responsibility to ensure they are away from the door and non-smokers are not affected by their second hand smoke.
