Have visited many times and quality of food and staff is excellent. My last visit I had king size fish n chips, fabulous but couldn't eat it all. Must remember to order standard size next time.It's such a shame my local the Plough in Cuffley (would never go again) which is a McMullens pub doesn't have the same standards.thank you for your positive review sparky775, we are really pleased you enjoyed your visit

We were a party of six and was visiting the place as a local band called "the beating hearts" was playing that night and decided to have our dinner there whilst waotching the band. We have never been there before and was impressed by the architecture and decor which must be unique. We all ordered different dishes and there was no complaints from anyone. the food and the great selection of drinks are very reasonably priced and we all had a great nightHi Alan, thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback on your recent visit. We appreciate all feedback, especially ones that hit the 5*. We are glad you enjoyed your night and look forward to seeing you again soon. the food was disgusting. beef couldn't even cut it let alone try to eat it, turkey coldas were the vegetables, Potatoes crucified. it looked to us that the food was left from the day before, Had to wait a good 5 minutes for the Chef to appear. as it wasabout 1.30pm would have thought he would have been at the counter.Had to scrapethe bowl to get some gravy. our waitress was excellent, although she was absolutelyrun off her feet as there was only 2 of them on duty, and it was very busy, the waitress didn't not charge us the full amount. Was looking forward to a Sunday roast, but was let down by the following: grubby glassware, cold meal, half roasted potatoes, tough beef. Then there were the flies... the family on the table next to us complained about the flies and the glasses and was met by indifference from the waiting staff. I was working on Sunday and was unaware of any complaints about the roasts, so I apologise that this happened with your meal. If you do change your mind and pop back in please mention any complaints to our team members/ management who would be happy to rectify these for you so next time you don't leave unhappy.In regards to the flies, unfortunately it is impossible to have a fly free pub when it is hot weather and all the doors and windows are open. Busy, clean and welcoming, we dropped in at the Cricketers to break a walk and were not disappointed. Decent selection of (pricey) beers. Well trained friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. Will return soon for Sunday lunch and see how the food fares. All signs look good.

Three of us visited for Saturday lunch in their garden. They donât have any service, apart from food delivery, as you have to order everything at the bar. We chose four sharing dishes, plus Crispy Squid, Couscous and Roast Vegetable Salad and Sweet Potato Roulade. All were nice.

We went for a drink and bite to eat on a weeknight. Inside is very nice. There is an Extensive gin selection and I was offered the Gin of the week.There are lots of tables outside and most had umbrellas so we managed to sit outside despite a bit of rain. There are even seating booths outside which was different. Had to wait a long time for the second round of drinks and the staff member behind the bar was quite stressed but they did apologise for that later. There are various meal offers on week nights, burger chips and drink for £12 was good value and tasty. Good place for groups both inside and outside. Not sure if there is step free access from the car park into pub, as we went through the garden down some steps to get to the bar. First visit to this popular place so I can only judge on one experience and one meal. Service was a little slow staff did not seem alert to people needing service but the staff were pleasant. Meal was reasonably priced and I would say good value for money but it certainly is not a gourmet dining experience and it doesn't purport to be that. We were a party of five and when we arrived, we were shown to table 13/1 which is a round table located in the corner of the front dining area and is very comfortable for parties of 5/6 adults.Our server, Carmela was very prompt in taking our drinks and food orders and also in serving them up shortly after. Most of us ordered the sirloin steaks for our mains which were very tasty and cooked to order. We all had a great evening as we normally do in this place as we find this restaurant very relaxing and comfortable and will certainly return again in the near future.Another fab review from you Alan :) such great news to hear that we was able to provide outstanding service again :) see you again soon :)
