Kirchdorf in Tirol is a municipality in the Kitzbühel district in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 12.20 km north of Kitzbühel as well as 3 km north of Sankt Johann in Tirol at the Kitzbühler Ache. The area is the second-largest in size in the district. The village has got its name from an old church which was built in the 8th century. Main source of income is agriculture and tourism.

Great menu selection. The dining room is cozy with a large old-fashioned furnace right in the room. I had venison, which was delicious. Also great kaiserschmarren (desert).

Excellent menu offering non-traditional and traditional Austrian specialties. We have visited this restaurant several times and have always had a great meal. We were a bit disappointed to learn that some of our favorite-skillet based dishes had been removed from the menu, however, the existing choices were fairly extensive. As usual, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

We wandered in on a Friday night and waited only 10 minutes for a table. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. An excellent Austrian experience. Highly recommended.

Waren schön öfters dort. Das Essen war immer top und der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Kann man nur empfehlen. Gemütlich und stilvolle Einrichtung. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Really good inn given that youâre pretty much on the mountain in the middle of nowhere. The amenities are quite basic though - you either get a mattress on the floor of large common rooms or an actual bed in a 4 person bunk room for a few (7) euros more. But you get a pillow and a warm blanket too (you need your own sheet or sleeping bag insert) and the room was actually quite cozy and warm. Small table, two chairs, a few hooks and cabinets for storage. Only one power point in room which may make it hard if all of you need to charge your devices. Common bathrooms for male and female. You have to pay for a hot shower (3 euros for 4 minutes). Unfortunately, they donât provide soap or hand wash, which I really think they should for hygienes sake. Mostly clean so they must give everything a good scrub, but I guess it also depends who youâre there with. Also, you should take off your hiking shoes before going upstairs to prevent large amounts of dirt and mud from being taken up. There are laundry lines outside to dry stuff and even a drying room inside. The inn accomodates quite a large number of people - there were lots of hikers as well as a bunch of soldiers who looked like they were doing some exercises in the mountains so it was quite noisy especially before bed and early in the morning when people are moving about, using the bathroom and packing. Walls are thin and footsteps at the stairs are heard quite clearly. The food is quite delicious and there are drinks aplenty. You can get a big hearty breakfast for 9 euros. I really wish they accepted credit cards as I was running out of cash. The staff are friendly and can speak English. The best part is obviously the location and scenery. Nothing beats that. I only stayed a night but it looks like a great base to explore the mountains more.

This restaurant is located above the local brewery and owned by them. The views from it and from its balcony are amazing.The menu is simple but good. I would recommend the pretzel and breads and the goulash soup. They have a great selection of beers all brewed onsite.As the dining room is small, you cannot reserve a table, but yes they do reserve a table for locals because the locals come and eat and drink every day!We found the staff to be quiet and efficient and heplful.

We recently stayed at this wonderful Gasthof and from arrival to departure everything was totally outstanding. The room was bright and spacious and impeccably clean, The owners were nothing short of exceptional and welcoming. Being B&B owners ourselves, we look at other businesses with discerning eyes, yet, we could not find one single fault with this establishment. In a single word AUSGEZEICHNETThe breakfasts were plentiful and very sustaining with a large selection to sate any palate. Great coffee. The highlight of our stay were the two dinners we had. The food was remarkable and ohhhhhhhhhh! so very tasty. The plates were well presented and our waiter/waitress was courteous, very friendly and most professional.All in all, we highly recommend anyone staying in Kirchdorf or the surrounding area to stay or dine at this exceptional establishment. I went here with my family during my journey in Kitzbuhel. I found this restaurant thanks to Tripadvisor and itâs been a great surprise!
