It was my first time at Shishir, and I chose a take away meal made up of prawn saag, mushroom rice, garlic naan; and deep fried mushrooms as a starter.Delicious meal, tasting very genuine. All in aluminium containers (in my view better and healthier than plastic ones).The owner/manager is a very friendly and sociable man, and that's a bonus.He happily took my order at 10:15pm, just before closing time.I'll certainly be back, next time I'm in Tullamore.

Had a really nice lunch here today.Singapore noodles for me and sweet chilli stir fry for my wife. Both lovely. Sweet potato fries were amazing.And there aren't too many places where you can pull your own ice cream cone for dessert for free!!Nice staff, decent value too. Stayed in a guest house in tullamoreOrdered via websiteOrder attached in photoDelivered 15 minutes early Naan bread was cold and had a shiny film of oil. Not fluffyPoppadom was not crispy and was stale Chicken dopiaza was average. Not much spice . The onions were very thickly sliced . Chicken was nice Very good portion sizeWhen the delivery driver turned up he stated â¬21.50The order receipt attached says â¬16.50 including a delivery charge . He said â¬5 euros was added on. No idea why and no advance warning. I could have been emailed or phoned to say an extra charge was being added - still wondering why the charge was there .

This is a somewhat typical Chinese restaurant but it has a very extensive and varied menu. The service was prompt and professional and the food was brought out right away and was uniformly of high quality. The seating is comfortable and the noise level low so that conversation was possible without shouting at one another.We will return when in the area.
