What a great surprise! In a very difficult environment, the chef manage to deliver top notch food. Tasted 6 different items, mainly appetizers which were all excellent, comparable to great tables in any big cities. Did not even get to the sushi and sashimi; the lobster butterfly, shrimp appetizers, fusion ceviche, Indonesian fried rice and other, were fresh and tasty. That place is probably the best restaurant in town, and yes the service is also great.

Sadly deceived by this restaurant, thought it's the same owner as Haiku, just not the same. There is such a need for varied restaurants in Haiti that we were delighted to have a new Asian restaurant, Haiku having started as a sushi specialty place. My gosh! The service is very polite but that's about all I can say. Ordered a lichitini, tasted like the lichi juice was spoiled. I ordered Vietnamese spring roll was tasty, chicken satay was boring . Then we ordered "house specialties" schezuan beef stir fry, guangdong shrimp stir fry and chicken. I am including pictures to show that these dishes had clearly nothing stir fry! The beef was a big piece presented on some broccoli, the shrimp was nested in the broccoli. The chicken was bland. All the meats tasted boiled rather than stir fry. Really bland tastes. The chef is wasting time on presentation and missing the point on the favor.I don't know if we would have been better off ordering sushi, but that would have defeated the purpose of coming to this Haiku.

We stopped by here with a group of people during an international event with the hopes to meet some new people in this lovely city.We nearly forgot about all that, as the tapas dishes we had stole the show!Our favourite was the breadcrumbed plantain banana with a sweet and savoury dip.We heard that they may be closing though, hope this is not the case!!
