Little India is now in new premises (where light of Bengal used to be) and I have to say the service and food has dramatically improved. The meal was delicious. The venue is much better than where they were before. I can see some negative reviews here but my experience was great and it has changed my opinion of them- not that is was bad before, but much better than it was.

My daughters and I went on a Friday night and enjoyed both the delicious food and watching the life of Penzance go by. Welcoming host, always good humoured serving quality, very plentiful meals. We had a vegetarian meal for two (fed 3 on the night and breakfast the next day!) Curry Corner is a secret gem of a place

A quick get together with friends to mark his little ' milestone '.He was not too familiar with Cantonese food, so we all opted for the buffet.The food on offer was good : big juicy prawns, big skewers of chicken 'satays', giant size spring rolls, duck pancakes, crispy beef, spare-ribs, rice vermicelli, fried egg noodles, rice, etc etc, not forgetting the soup for starter, and ended with deserts.We were spoiled for choice.We had a young man and a lady serving us, they were attentive but not intrusive.We would return again, with other friends for more scrumptious food.The place was buzzing on Thursday night ! the side room was occupied by a group of 20 pax. BUSY !

Visited one evening whilst staying round the corner. Service a bit slapdash to start but improved. A lot of people arrived at the same time, plus they seemed busy with takeaways - but attending to the restaurant customers is important. The menu was standard and averagely priced.The food was well prepared and tasty, with generous portions. No complaints.They don't have a drinks licence but people were taking their own. I was happy with tap water.

Visited the restaurant looking for an authentic Indian menu. Looking online the menu has dishes that are not on your everyday menu along with the usual dishes.One word sums up the service and the food, AMAZING. Small enough to feel personal but big enough for larger parties.I genuinely hope this restaurant is supported by locals and holiday makers, the food is cooked and prepared with love.Thanks so much for your kind words we really do appreciate it. I had Pat Pak (£7) which was a vegetables only dish. It was quite tasty although I think sugar added. A little too much oil for me. Wrong total was attempted to be charged - I picked it up but please be vigilant if your order includes multiple items.

We had dinner at the Taj Mahal while visiting Penzance on Thursday 21 August 2019 The four women running the restaurant were friendly and efficient. The food was fabulous. All fresh cooked and with beautiful spices. The food was very reasonably priced as was the wine - no extravagant wine mark-ups here. I suggest you get there no later than 6.30pm as it gets busy. I cannot recommend it too highly.

Good choice of scrummy food, which can be made a little hotter if you wish. Also a good varied menu of both soft and alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere is cosy, all be it a little crowded at peak times, with beautiful sea views if you manage to get a window seat and the place spotlessly clean. The service is brilliant, welcoming and friendly and the cook fantastic. Unfortunately no wheelchair access and parking can be a little difficult in the height of summer, but well worth a visit if you can manage the stairs.
