When we arrived the waiter took the orders of two people and decided it was enough food. Not considering the dietary restrictions of the party considering we all ate items that not everyone at the table enjoyed. The portions were small (4 pieces in a roll). When the brought out the roll (Hawaii roll) with mango sauce, it tasted carbonated and spoiled. I told the waiter and he said he tried it and the bottle of mango sauce had expired. He did not do anything to compensate or even apologize he brought us the same roll with sauce that was not expired as if we still had the appetite to eat it. The service was poor and unattentive and the food was DISGUSTING. My husband and I both threw up in the middle of the night. DO NOT DARE TO GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO TAKE A SICK DAY.

We ordered fresh spring rolls with shrimp, and both ordered Spicy Mixed Basil Noodles (chicken & shrimp), excellent, the best we have had. Service was excellent, decor simple and clean. Definitely coming back!!!Hi Carl M,Happy to hear you had a pleasant experience with us. Hope to see you again!

This place just recently switched owners and tbh it's for the better. Been coming here and the food would be on and off good,but mostly good. Reason why this would be our " go to spots". New manager is making pretty good improvements. Sushi/maki roll are to perfection as well the items on grill are extremely crispy and sashimi are perfectly cut pieces. You could definitely tell they put their time instead of rushing how they use to before. Favourites to order: Fusion roll, eel dragon roll, butter and spicy ebi, stir fried beef and onion, salmon sashimi, kaki fry. Probably one of the best ayce sushi in Vaughan with attentive services. This restaurant is good for business, couple, friends and family type of visit. Strongly recommend!!

I tried their mango salad (awesome!), spring rolls, and pineapple fried rice. Great food. Good portions. Awesome value. Great service. Probably not the place to go if you're allergic to peanuts... to state the obvious ;)

My first time but Iâll be back for sure. It was very quiet so we felt comfortable and were very pampered by the servers who were pleasant and helpful throughout. The vegan choices were limited but believe me, had there been more Iâd have exploded like that Monty Python character. The pakoras and other appetizers were delicious and the staff pointed out the no-goes for me. The aloo gobi was delicious as were the other dishes and so was the roti for the vegan. The place is clean, spacious and uncluttered.The staff must be recognized to the extent that they would bring me back as much as the food will; they were that nice.

Though I attended York University for 5 years, I had never gone to Genji until after I had graduated, despite it being a literal 5 minute walk from the campus. We have always been greeted very warmly by the staff and everyone is just so friendly and pleasant. The ambiance is not bad at all and is actually quite cozy; whenever I think about Genji, I think about coming in the the restaurant on a winter day to get out of the cold and warm up in one of the booths with my fiancée. The washrooms, I forgot to mention, are spotless and very well-maintained.As for the food... It is spectacular. The mix of different specialty rolls is vast and they are all super, though emphasis must be placed on the Fantastic Roll; it is up there with Momiji's Fire White Dragon Roll and the Koganei Roll, as the best specialty roll I've ever had; the ingredients are so fresh, everything tastes great, the rolls are just fantastic. Takoyaki is also superb as well as other appetizers; truly, there isn't anything wrong with Genji. Decently priced as well, head on in if you're in the area!

Don't let the appearance fool you. The food here is tasty, fresh, good portions and reasonably priced. Real authentic pad Thai! Been to the location in Barrie many times. Finally made it to this location. Was disappointed at the ambience but the food is scrumptious! Barrie location is a lot More welcoming, better atmosphere. Was getting take out so didn't matter, just Happy the food was good.

This is our new favorite Indian restaurant.We followed the owners of this new restaurant from their previous location (Bombay Touch) to this location at the south-east corner of Dufferin and Steeles and will never look back. They have done a beautiful job with the décor and feel of the place and the food is out of this world!Raj and his wife, Hagit, are true professionals and really care about their customers. Raj creates incredibly delicious delicacies in the kitchen and Hagit looks after all their guests in the restaurant. They are both such warm, friendly, lovely people. We have been so many times (everyone we have introduced to this place loves it as much as we do), we know them by name!The menu is innovative and suitable for all tastes. They try new things all the time and will be adding different options to their menu as they go along. Whatever you order, you canât go wrong. Itâs a feast for the senses and Raj is a master!We have been to so many Indian restaurants in the city and in India and none of them hold a candle to this place. The only reason why we are reluctant to give them such a great review is because we are afraid that once the word is out about this amazing place, it will be hard for us to find a table. We stopped going to all you can eat year ago, but the other family we went with insisted we go. So we did!Ordering is a breeze with their iPad system. Very comprehensive menu. We tried many maki roles, sashimi, tempura, some of the wok items, and noodles. All was fresh and delicious. If you want all you can eat, great place. Very friendly servers as well.
