What to do and see in Yamate, Kanto: The Best Sights & Landmarks

May 26, 2021 Milan Banda

Yokohama is easily accessible from Tokyo, but there’s enough to see and do here that it’s worth more than a day trip. Visit Minato Marai 21, a popular, modern neighborhood with great shopping and tons of restaurant options. TripAdvisor travelers also recommend stopping at Big Wharf (Osanbashi Pier), a uniquely shaped pier with spectacular views.

The Anglican-Episcopal Church of Japan

Reviewed By roamer70

After and absence of many, many years we returned to Christ Church on the Bluff. Our daughter and youngest child had been baptized in this Church by the Rev. John Berg, now retired. We had the opportunity to attend a service in the rebuilt church that had been burnt severely more than 10 years ago. We had the chance to speak briefly with Rector Simon in the coffee session after the service and also to chat with Denis who had been headmaster at Yokohama International School, a school that our two sons attended in the early 1970's. Ah memories of the good old days. This is a very friendly and welcoming congregation and we thank the members for a wonderful experience.
