Our friends suggested we go here as they said it’s very reasonably priced and the food is good. We sat down in the almost empty restaurant and were offered a set Sunday menu. Both of the men in our party are pescatarians and the choice of good for them was basically take it or leave it. Literally just one choice of vegetarian food. We asked if there was any fish or other alternatives and were told no. We weren’t offered an a la Carter menu either. Obviously at that point we left and won’t be returning.

It's years since I visited Southend, and it was nice to see the beach and pier again. It was fun to watch the tide go out too.

I'm a bit of a fan of getting things online as shopping with two little ones of getting a chance to go without them is almost impossible. However, seeing things in the flesh is always better and gives you good new ideas for gifts and I've found the prices here as good as, if not better than online. And it's always good to support your local shops, and I intend to keep doing so here.

I feel that there's not enough space to walk around and the computers are incredibly slow. This Club have just been presented with a Bowls England Award as The Runners Up in the Club of The Year competition, and they certainly deserved it. The Club offers outdoor bowling in the summer & short mat bowling during the winter season, making it an ideal sports club to join. A very friendly and hospitable group of people, so pay them a visit if you are thinking of taking up a new interest.
