Get Cooking!

Hi I run Get Cooking! and provide cooking experiences for all ages online and 1-1 private lessons, small group lessons, workshops, parties and bespoke cooking programmes for local organisations. My my main aim is to inspire you in the kitchen through my easy approach to cooking. I work with many people who lack confidence or lost their mojo in the kitchen and aim to show it can be fun and easy and can guide you right through from the basics. I have over 30 years experience in the hospitality and catering business. Typical food made include Indian, Chinese, Thai, Moroccan, Greek, French, Italian and Japanese cuisine along with classic English fayre from Sunday roast to batch cooking for the freezer. Learning how to make your own pasta, healthy fakeaway's and sushi is very popular. I love baking and can teach a wide variety of traditional bakes goods from breads, scones, jams, chocolate croissants, different types of cakes, pastry, tarts and meringue. Look forward to hearing from you.

A small group of us had a session with Anne Marie making individual cheesecakes. She is a great teacher and gave us lots of tips and ideas for variations on the basic cheesecakes. An enjoyable session!

Napton Cidery

We are international award wining craft cider producers in the picturesque village of Napton on the Hill. All of the cider apples are from unsprayed orchards in Hereford that we take our time to select. You can visit the farm and learn how our cider is made, taste our limited edition recipes and pick your favourite ciders from our shop to take away. We also have our small batch apple brandy or aperitif to sample. You can pre book tours and parties. There is a great canal side pub and village artisan shop within walking distance from us. Our cidery is wheelchair friendly and we are happy to help too.

We like to do a tour like this every now and again and this was a Christmas gift bought by the kids. We arrived in the dark and found our way into the shop. We were greeted with a glass of cider a choice of their No'3, 4 or 5, all by the way delicious which we were to find out later in the tour. Once our group had all arrived the tour began with an insight into their history, processes and methods used with a walk through each stage. After the tour we decided on food before tasting. We were served a plate of hearty pork stew with nice crusty bread (I happily tucked into a second helping) Then the tasting began, with a sample of all of their wares. Even the Cider vinegar went down well. All in all a fantastic evening and well worth the trip out., finished with a small shopping spree to stock up on the wife's favourites.
