Excellent remote walking tour of the old city of Tbilisi with Bacho via internet. The technology worked well and Bacho has perfect English. Bacho is a friendly and very well informed guide. It was wonderful to get a taste of this beautiful and interesting looking city in the only way possible in current circumstances. Georgia is now very high on my list of countries to visit when circumstances allow and I will not hesitate to contact Bacho and Georgian holidays to help plan my trip. Highly recommended. Many thanks. Mike Davey England

We were so lucky to have Nvard and her husband Tigan (?) as our guide and driver for our short private tour of Armenia. They were lovely, helpful, funny, good company and, as is important for this review, informative, well spoken (good English) and in a short time knew what we liked. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Their vehicle was modern, comfortable and roomy. Although we were only in Armenia for 3.5 days we saw and learnt so much about this cradle of Christianity. Nvard's knowledge of the country's history and culture was excellent. I highly recommend Nvard as a guide. I should add that we felt the cost of the tour was very fair. I look forward to showing Nvard and Tigan around Sydney should they ever venture to Australia.

Khor Virap is the place where Grigor Luisavorich (St. Gregory the Illuminator) was imprisoned for 13 years before curing King Trdat III of a disease. This caused the adoption of Christianity in Armenia in the year 301. In fact, the name Khor Virap means “deep pit”, named after the prison where St. Gregory the Illuminator was held. The next stop will be Monastery Noravank, which dates back to XIII—XIV centuries. The complex includes the 1339 St. Astvatsatsin (“Burtelashen”) sepulchre-church, St. Stepanos Nakhavka and gavit, the St. Grigor Church and Stepanos Orbelian Sepulchre, the remains of medieval chapels and residential quarters and a modern office and hall.  In the end of our trip you have an opportunity to taste armenian wine in Areni winery.

Note: the private tour also included a trip to Echmiadzin and the Arch of Charents. This was a wonderful tour that I would recommend to anyone visiting Armenia interested in learning about its rich culture and history. My driver, Alen, and my guide, Eduard, were great to spend the day with, and I enjoyed every moment of the tour. Each site truly is magnificent, and most are unlike anything you will see elsewhere in the world. This really is a unique opportunity to view history. Additionally, I must note that the Armenian people are incredibly hospitable. At one point, we pulled over on the side of the road to watch some ladies make traditional Armenian bread (which was delicious). Upon stopping, I was invited to join a group of Armenian men that were enjoying the bread with some delicious Armenian cheese. They even gave me a shot of vodka, really highlighting just how kind everyone here is and how much they appreciate meeting other people and learning about other cultures. Do not miss out on this tour if you are in Armenia!

The tour and the guide were great, we really enjoyed everything. The places we saw were beautiful and full of history. The guide (Ani) knew the difference between facts, and fiction and myths. She always had something interesting to answer for a lot of questions we had and overall was very nice. We were even surprised that not only the car had wifi spot, but that it was working well throughout the trip.

We would like to thank Hyur for an unforgettable experience we had in Armenia. Tigran, our guide, was warm, friendly and kind. He was extremely knowledgeable and also flexible in terms of the activities that we did - we went on a boat ride on lake Sevan which wasn’t part of the itinerary and we also watched a lady bake bread. Arthur was our driver and he was fantastic and kind. Next time we visit Armenia, we will be booking more tours with Hyur!!! Thank you Tigran and Arthur for making our day so special and memorable!
