What to do and see in Tempelhof-Schöneberg (Borough), Germany: The Best Concerts & Shows

April 28, 2022 Joeann Galban

Berlin is an edgy city, from its fashion to its architecture to its charged political history. The Berlin Wall is a sobering reminder of the hyper-charged postwar atmosphere, and yet the graffiti art that now covers its remnants has become symbolic of social progress. Check out the Weltzeituhr (world time) Clock, topped by a model of the solar system, then turn back time by dining at the historic Zur Letzten Instanz, a 16th century restaurant that was frequented by Napoleon and Beethoven.

Ufer Cafe

Came here as final stop on Bowie walking tour (Berlin music tours). Tour ends here with a free drink in bar beside where David Bowie and Iggy POP lived. We strayed for several drinks! Cafe was full of Bowie photos and lots of interesting people. Frank the owner is a true gentleman. Great guy to talk with and couldn’t have been more helpful with advice on places to visit or eat. Don’t miss it if you are in the area, you won’t regret it!

Insomnia Berlin

I visited this established with my girl. This club is amazing. We were greeted with smiling faces and we had no trouble getting in. Granted we did the research and we knew where we were going and we were sporting the outfits and the attitude. The place is cleaner than Kitkat and the people friendlier. There were tissues, condoms and gloves in each play area, not to mention the showers. The crowd is a bit older than kitkat but for us that was a good thing because they knew what they wanted. There is more emphasis on play than other clubs and we loved that. We met amazing people and the music was congruent with the mood. We will be seeing you again soon! In my opinion people who don't have a good time here really don't get what these clubs are about. Just come with an open mind and all your fantasies will come true. Ours certainly did!!! ????????????
